Took this tour on September 12, 2014. I was staying with my wife at the Tivoli Hotel and asked how to get to the pickup spot for this tour. The hotel said the the Stroma Bus will pick you up at the hotel. I was shocked and excited at the same time. Loved being picked up at the hote. This was a 2 decker bus with WiFi, another plus. The bus then left for the pickup of the other passangers. The tours of the Fredericksburg Castle, and Hamlet Castles were fabulous. We also went to the Queens castle a d saw the changing of the guards. What a surprise. We had plenty of time to take pictures and see the beauty of the various castles. When it became time for lunch our tour guide had menus on the bus where by we could purchase sandwiches and she had them ready at the next stop. Very convenice to pay with a credit card and also get a receipt. Ordered the roart beef sandwich, based upon other reviewears comments and was very please.
We highly recommend this tour, please note it is an all day tour and you arrive back about 4:30 to 5 pm. Enjoy to all.
This trip was alot of fun, great people good timing. I do wish we had more time to explore the garden at the last castle. Otherwise it was great. Bus driver gave really good recommendations.
Loved the freedom on this tour. They took us to castles, let us in, and left us to explore on our own. We loved going under ground at hamlet's castle and spent most of our time in the gardens at the second castle. The commentary was even interesting on the bus. We liked the sandwiches too. All and all a great trip.
Excellent trip. Small group was great with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. I would definitely recommend this to others.
We really enjoyed this tour before our Baltic Cruise. Several people have said in their reviews they had a difficult time figuring out where to meet the bus. We were worried about that - our bus (a red double decker) parked across from Jerry's Bar - on the side of the City Hall that is opposite Tivoli.
Our tour guide was really good - the bus handed out earbuds and you could listen to the presentation in your choice of languages. Loved the castles - and had the roast beef sandwich for lunch (an extra cost - but you order soon after boarding the bus - it was better than I expected) - the bus had free Wi-Fi, which is always helpful when traveling internationally.
The tour was brilliant. David was a brilliant tour guide. Highly recommended.
It was a great trip with a wonderful tour guide. We saw and learned a lot. Thank you!
It was a great tour - just what we were looking for. David was a great guide and gave lots of super information throughout the tour. I do wish we could have had more time to explore on our own in addition to touring with David. I know we could have gone off on our own, but I didn't want to miss his great information. We were literally running for the bus, and the tour did leave two folks behind at one stop. Yikes! The pick up location can be confusing, so I appreciate the previous reviewers who provided better directions.
Fantastic! Mads was amazing! His extensive knowledge of Danish history and each Castle was exceptional!
Beautiful tour! Amazing!
Tour guide and bus driver were great, very knowledgeable and friendly. Tour guide answered tons of questions, gave great tours of the castles and gave tons of info outside of the prerecorded tidbits during the bus portions.
Loved having wifi on the bus too. Was the highlight of my trip.
Excellent guide- super knowledgeable and the tour was well paced. The lunch option was also excellent!! Well done!
We were picked up swiftly from the meeting point and transported to the three castles. En route, the tour guide stated we would not have a meal stop, but they had a sandwich shop that could deliver reasonably priced sandwiches to the bus. The tour guide then took our orders and they turned out to be quite tasty for the money (the sandwiches were not included in the tour price). We toured two castles and a had a photo stop at a third. The guide was great for both of the castle tours and had a lot of facts that were delivered in a very witty way (especially at Hamlet's Castle). The drive time was relaxing and the pace of the tours at the castles good. Would definitely recommend to anybody who wants a nice, relaxing day out of Copenhagen.
This tour is in a comfortable air-conditioned bus. We had ample time in Kronborg and Frederiksborg. The drive to Kronborg through the countryside is beautiful. We highly recommend this trip. Several reviewers had a difficult time finding the bus. The following may help: the bus probably will not be a Viator bus, and nor will the Guide be a viator guide. Our bus was the tour operator's bus. The bus meets next to City Hall, but not on the Hans Christian Andersen streetside. There is a bench across the street to wait for the bus, right next to a gold and white sign concerning the bicycle park. It is just down the street from the Palace Hotel.
