What You Can Expect

Frederiksborg Castle, Denmark

Travel up to Kronburg Castle, in the city of Elsinore, where you will see the outer walls and the towers of Kronburg Castle, the historic place made famous all over the world by Shakespeare's Hamlet, it is also the most popular castle in Denmark, with about 200,000 visitors each year.

Enjoy a photostop at Fredensborg - the Queens Summer Residence. Here you will have time to explore the Castle's gardens or the small market town of Hillerød, where the castle is perfectly situated. You will also see the beautiful town of Helsingor, with buildings dating back to the 1700's and afterwards travel back to Copenhagen via the Danish Riviera, so you can see how rich Denmark's top people really are!

A very enjoyable tour! The bus was modern, clean and very comfortable. The driver and tour guide were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a wonderful experience to visit the three castles. Kronborg castle was interesting to me ... as well as Shakespeare's Hamlet ... I learned that James V1 of Scotland / 1 of England was married in the chapel. On my return, I did some research and found out that his bride was Anne of Denmark - not Margaret, and that the marriage was by proxy in Kronborg, with another marriage ceremony later in Norway. (Wikipedia). Anyway, it sparked my interest as I was born in Scotland.
I would definitely recommend this tour and Viator!
