Very nice tour. It was interesting to see the countryside and the castles. Guide was very nice. Bus was comfortable.
Maria was a wonderful guide and the bus driver sure knew how to handle traffic and narrow spaces and sharp turns. We LOVE LOVE LOVED the Frederiskborg Castle. Magnificent. Extravagant! Loved the history. Loved the tour inside!
We are also glad for having made lots of photos at Kronborg Castle, though we chose not to go inside. Good thing though - so we had time for outside photos. Viewing the summer palace of the Queen was great too, seeing the guards in uniform... We highly recommend Viator for booking excursions/tours and are already looking to book through them when we visit San Francisco later this year.
The meeting point was NOT IN the square but alongside it and a bit difficult to find if you were late in arriving!! However it was brilliant the guide was good not excellent, enjoyed the day greatly.
I had no problem locating the departure point, like others said look for Burger King and up the street to the bus station. Guide very good. I think the time should be enlarged, if it would start at 9:30 instead of 10:30 there will be time at Frederiksborg Castle to go and have a look at the beautiful gardens.
The tour was very interesting , informative and the tour guide Maria B was very knowledgable and had perfect English , to get the bus it is located on the Burger King side of city hall square
Tour was just as advertised. All went well, the bus, guide, and the inside tour. You need to find a bettter place to join tour. Near a metro station, or maybe hotel pick up, even if there is a small fee. Had real hard time getting to and finding City Hall Sq. Almost missed trip.Had to take a cab from Metro Station to City Hall Sq, could not figer out to change Metro stations and buy a new ticket.Tour 4 *, getting to start point 1*
Comfortable bus, but our tour guide was new and was not very knowdedgeable or interesting to listen to. We broke from the group and explored castles on our own.
While the day was successful overall, the website did not clearly explain that there were two tours taking place on the same bus. Thus, while we elected to visit one castle we followed the same itinerary as the three castle group, spending almost a third of the total time sitting outside a castle we had no interest in visiting.
Some specific points:
- both driver and guide were excellent
- ordering lunch to be eaten on bus was an excellent time saver
- visibility from the bus was limited
- very poor air conditioning on the bus; this detracted considerably from our enjoyment
The Frederiksborg Castle tour was very good. However, the way in which the overall tour was conducted was confusing to all of the bus's passengers. Basically, there were three different tours on the bus with paid entries to different locations. While on the bus, we upgraded our tickets to include another castle but others didn't and they were on their own for an hour or so. We felt that this was a bait-and-switch technique. Different tours should not be run out of the same bus unless it is explicitly stated in the tour brochure.
Felt the entire tour was rushed. This was mainly caused when the tour guide had to solve a problem with some tickets. This is just not my opinion but others. At Frederiksborg Castle we were only permitted enough time to view either the interior or gardens. Other stops (including lunch) we were only given 15 minutes. Were told the entire tour we had to keep moving. Got the feeling the guide didn't want to miss dinner. Would not recommend this tour and maybe Viator.
