A good day, very full on but you do travel a fair distance to see all the castles and they are excellent. Lunch can be arranged if you wish it.
It was a wonderful day! I took great photos and met great people. I would highly recommend it.
Our guide David was excellent. He had a great amount of knowledge to impart. Two things to consider. Firstly to have a bus that is sufficiently air conditioned. It was hot and not very pleasant. Secondly, the tour should start earlier. 9.00 am is not unreasonable. By doing so it would give us more time to look around the site. The programme was very tight leaving very little time to explore on our own.
Great guide, good weather, interesting places, gardens were as stunning as palaces
The trip itself was wonderful, we had an excellent and very informative guide and very comforatble transport. My only quibble was catching the bus, the voucher advises that buses leave from next to the City Hall but doesnt advise which side, to the right of the City Hall is a bus area so we naturally assumed that was the place to be but it was actually the other side, there are no signs to advise you! luckily somebody walked across to check before they left or we would have missed the trip.
I cannot fault the trip and would highly reccomend it to anybody but i would advise you to be aware that the bus may not be where you think it is and also that Viator look at having some signs made up so that people are able to identify where to board :)
overall very enjoyable!!
The actual trip was very good however it was very difficult to find the tour operator. On our tickets we were told one place and only by luck we actually found the bus. Our tickets said that we must have our passports and carried them all day but at no time were they checked. Have no idea then why we needed our passports.
We joined the bus trip to North Zealand mainly to see the landscape in this part of Denmark. It was disappointing from our perspective as it took 61/2 hours visited two Castles/palaces (approx. 21/2 to 3 hours) and 2or 3 little towns along the way. We thought that this bus trip would encompass a whole lot more of North Zealand. Not only was it boring but we consider it to be a waste of time it that we lost a complete day with not much of a return given we only allowed 3 days all up to visit Denmark. Only having a total of 23 days to visit Northern Europe. We feel our time could have been used more productively.
We were disappointed with this trip because it was not the trip we signed up for. Maybe not enough people signed up for the countryside tour, I don't know. We were just added to the castle tour, NOT what we hoped for. It was well done, but again, we did not plan to tour three castles but wanted to see the countryside. The driver awkwardly said something like, "Well I guess you can just hang around outside while the rest go inside," I suppose because we had not purchased admissions. Viator should have contacted us and given us the option to opt out of this tour.
