Cadiz Shore Excursion: Seville Small-Group Walking Day Trip
Continue to the Baroque palace of San Termo, home to wonderful gardens. Then visit the Cathedral of Seville, the largest Gothic cathedral and third-largest of any church in the world. As you walk around this UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit the tomb of Christopher Columbus, the Capilla Real and the Patio de los Naranjos. Enjoy views of the breathtaking Giralda tower, once the tallest tower in the world and today one of only three remaining Almohad minarets (a mosque spire from the 12th-century Almohad Dynasty).
Take a short break for lunch (own expense) in the Jewish quarter and wander around the labyrinth of narrow streets, originally designed to protect Jews from oppression. Continue to the Santa Cruz quarter, one of Seville's best-known neighborhoods with big mansions, family palaces and flower-covered patios. Then visit the Alcazar, a royal palace that was originally a Moorish fort.
End your walking tour at the oldest bullring in Spain, La Maestranza. Enjoy free time in this area before you make your way back to the Cadiz port.

This was a fabulous tour--far better than those offered by the cruise ship and less expensive too. Anya was a first-rate guide. She was knowledgeable and fluent and had great skill in storytelling. We appreciated the flexibility of being in a small group (only 6 of us) and so we had control over the pace of our tour and the sights that we saw. For lunch, she directed us to an outdoor tapas cafe where she helped with the menu selections so that we could enjoy a terrific lunch at low cost. I would highly recommend this tour. We were very pleased with Sights and Bikes, the tour provider.
