Stroll around the Santa Maria district, Cadiz's oldest quarter, believed to be the birthplace of the world-famous Flamenco dance! Continue your tour with visits to the Church of San Juan de Dios and the Cathedral of Cadiz.
Then head to the Flower Market and walk past the Teatro Falla and Canastas Square before entering the emblematic district of La Vina, home to Cadiz’s carnival. Continue to La Caleta beach, the most popular beach in the city, and then walk by the beautiful San Sebastian and Santa Catalina castles on your way to Genoves Park, home to more than 100 types of trees.
Walk along the Alameda and discover the numerous squares of Cadiz – San Francisco, Mina and La Candelaria squares, among others. Go through Arcos de La Muralla to Plaza de España, where you will stop and rest your legs while you enjoy a traditional Andalusian lunch at a local restaurant. Your three-course meal of regional dishes includes beer or wine (see the Itinerary section below for a sample menu). While you eat, watch a stunning performance of Flamenco dancers.

What a great day. Our guide, Monserrat, was passionate and enthusiastic about her home city of Cadiz. She met us at the port gate and was bang on time. We had a lovely walk around Cadiz and saw things that you probably see with a larger group of people (there were only 2 of us). She was very knowledgable about the history and architecture of Cadiz and was excellent at pointing out explaining items as we walked aroung the city.
All in all a great day out and many thanks to Monserrat and her boss Oliver.

We were treated to a very personal interesting and informative tour. Tour Guide met us promptly from the ship and tour guide Monserrat was lively bubbly and great value. Lunch and the show with Oliver was also very pleasurable . Food was great and variety on Tapas menu was awesome. We were disappointed that the Flamenco show singer was not in traditional costume to add to the experience but all in all great value for money.
