We were in Malaga, and I would not recommend this trip from there. My husband and I were the only two from there and so the tour guide picked us up in his car. He also dropped us off and refused to take us to our hotel and left us at the end of a highway ramp. We had a hard time finding a taxi and had to walk quite a bit before finding a bus that went in our direction. I was lucky because I speak Spanish and was able to ask a local. All the others on our tour were picked up and dropped off at their hotel directly, so I found this extremely unfair, especially because our day began at 4:30 a.m. and ended at 9:00 p.m. Most of the time was spent on a bus. The other part we didn't like was that we were taken to merchants as a group and time was wasted in stores watching demonstrations instead of seeing the city. I would not recommend this trip unless you are close to Tarifa, where the ferry departs and you can do it on your own.

Tangier is a wonderful, most interesting place to visit, but I would definitely not recommend this tour. We had an unfriendly disgruntled guide. The trip was also too long in terms of travel time - we had about twelve hours of travel time for a two and a half hour tour of Tangier - far too long for such a short visit. Had we been forewarned this would be the case, we would not have chosen to take this kind of trip. We would have elected to take private transportation over to the ferry - instead of picking up so many people and hired a private guide once in Tangier. However, I only have to say the best for our guide in Tangier. He was cultured, gentlemanly and completely absorbed in trying to do a wonderful job in chaperoning a large, unwieldy group through a most interesting city. Not an easy task!

They wasted our time going to some pre-arranged sales pitches in a couple extremely expensive stores. I was able to purchase something on the way back to the bus from a street vendor much, much less than the price of something in that store! We kept asking them to take us to the small bazaars in the streets, but they wouldn't! It was terrible! I would never recommend this tour to anyone!!

We arrived an hour late in Tangier due to ferry problems. No attempt was made to extend the time to allow activities, so we rushed through - hurrying or skipping promised activities. We had a rushed meal, no belly dancer, only 10 minutes at camels, without any time to ride at all, and three minutes with the snake charmer. We literally ran through the Casbah. We were escorted and rushed to only a sponsored rug and spice shop - we had no time for individual shopping at all. My advice - take the overnight trip if you want time to see anything!

The trip was predominantly being taken to the tour organiser's markets. We would have preferred being taken to markets where we could wander around unsupervised for an hour or so.
