Moorish Castle
The earliest inhabitants of Gibraltar built this for protection. Note the cannon ball indentations. It was unique exploring inside something several hundred years old.
WWII Tunnel
A small piece of the some 50 km of tunnels hollowed out by the Canadian Military for Winston Churchill and the allied forces during WWII. The rock itself housed over 6000 troops. The Canadians then used the rock to build the ingenious airport runway which was built up from and reclaimed from the Mediterranean Sea.
St. Michael's Caves
A view of the unique formations in the still alive cave. I suggest turning off the camera flash to capture the illumination in the background.
Monkey Sanctuary
This cute little guy was fascinated with the antenna of our tour bus and actually bent it along with the windshield wiper. It was great to see the very ethnically diverse crowd on the tour all have a laugh at once. The monkeys were very curious and allowed us to come right up to them for photos.
