It was OK, but could have been better

Saw some interesting things in Tangier, but often seemed unorganized and guides hard to find after shopping which left people standing around with bothersome vendors. Excellent restaurant for lunch!!

Little English spoken by first guide and he appeared to be in panic mode. Very touristy and lunch was not impressive nor being taken to only two shops rather than allowed to shop at places of own choice. Very long day.

We called our local supplier in Spain to confirm our tickets and the customer service professional could not speak English and had me call back the following day. We were taken to the Tangier marketplace like sheep led to the wolves. Our tour guide just watched as he took us to his choice posh markets while we got harassed by pushy people selling rugs. I'd bet he made a cut. However, truth must be told, the guide that picked us up from our hotel was very professional and nearly on time.

We had a great guide. When our bus broke down on the return trip, he handled the situation with humor and professionalism. The shopping part of the tour was fair at best. We had only 45 minutes in each store. The apothecary was not a place I would have visited. Going to the carpet place was like being caught in a spider's web - there was too much pressure to purchase. One of the store workers was flirtatious and acted inappropriately. The Moroccan guide was exceptional! The lunch was great.

The ferry ride was fine. The bus ride portion was way too fast. It missed some great photo ops, along the coastline. The big stop was a hokey and contrived camel ride concession. The lunch was very good. The forced stop at the rug shop was poor but the holistic pharmacy was the worst. Being forced to listen to these merchants hawk their wares was a waste of time better spent seeing the city. We have holistic pharmacies everywhere, we did not need to travel to Tangier to see one, much less spend so much time listening to them try to sell things. We never did see the bazaar, a real disappointment. It was somewhat disorganized as well and relied upon being recognized by the tour guide. We had no opportunity to see anything other than the few contrived stops.

It was nice to say we were in Africa for five hours, but the locals were very pushy and in our faces to buy merchandise.

It was a great trip for what you pay so I would recommend it for that reason. But we did have issues figuring out where to meet to get the bus, but did get on it 30 mins late. Also if you want to do your own shopping in Tangier then this really isn't the trip for you. Would say it's worth doing and then if you have the chance go another day on your own once you see your way around.

The tour was quite good, and the guide was excellent. However, there were a couple of things that were very disappointing. We were taken to a carpet store and to a fragrance and cosmetics shop, and we spent a great deal of time in each. I was not interested in either, and felt that these stops were a waste of time. We were given no other opportunities to shop. Also, during the tour several people accompanied us in addition to the tour guide, and I'm not sure what their purpose was. At the end of the tour, they all asked for tips, and I didn't know what I was supposed to tip them for. The tour guide should have explained these people to us.

The tour guide was a heavy smoker and coughed the whole day so you couldn't really understand him. The tour through the Medina and the casbah was a series of sales opportunities for everything from rugs and clothing to pharmaceuticals. I enjoyed the panoramic tour however the walking tour could do without the high pressure sales stops. The Tangier Jet Ferry is a nice experience. And the Moroccan lunch was nice too.

The tour arrangements were excellent - pick up on time, comfortable bus, good escort. The ferry ride was also just fine. The bus tour of Tangier was interesting, but the opportunity to ride a scraggly camel in a parking lot could have been dispensed with. The walk through the Casbah was interesting - seedy, but interesting. This was followed by an excellent lunch. The tour deteriorated from that point forward, as we were held captive to a sequence of sales pitches by rug, spice, and junk salesmen. As we attempted to slip out to shop on our own, we were accosted in the narrow streets by other locals selling drums, spices, necklaces, t-shirts, etc. Not a wonderful shopping experience. Our Moroccan guide was excellent. Bottom line, we can now say we've been to Africa, but I wouldn't recommend this tour. If you go, and want to buy a rug, know what you're looking for and be prepared to bargain and you might get a good deal.

The bus was nice and comfortable, going there and coming back. It was nice that we were the last to get picked up and the first to get dropped off. All our other excursions it was the other way around. The only comments our group had is the limited opportunity to shop for trinkets and souvenirs. We weren't pleased with the limited vendors or co-op vendor program they had. We were under the impression we were going to be taken to an open market environment made up of several vendors. We basically went away with nothing, not even a postcard just the pictures from our cameras. We didn't even have time to shop with the vendors at the ferry dock. The exposure to the bartering, onslaught of street vendors and peddlers was a learning experience to say the least, very aggressive selling tactics. We liked the walking tour through the streets. If you go take the picture of the Matisse door, the opportunity does not come again. We went end of March and had very nice and cool temperatures. Price is reasonable. We recommend the tour, but go with very little expectation.

Being in Morocco was a wonderful experience but the day was rushed and left no time for additional shopping. Also the experience of being literally mobbed by the street merchants was not a very pleasant one.

I stayed in Benalmadena-Costa. When I arrived I saw they offered the same tour for two-thirds the Viator price. Viator's pricing seems too high to me.

Bus made too many stops to pick up and drop off people. We were on the bus over three hours both ways. Thought I would be able to shop in a marketplace, which didn't happen so I ended up not buying anything. Time was cut short because we were told the ferry was leaving earlier than expected. Tour guide in Tangier was very good and lunch was lots of fun.

When the bus stopped at an all-night pharmacy so our guide could pick up some drugs, we should have gotten a clue. The guide was flying all day, talking non-stop. On the bus back, the guide was so busy talking to the driver that we passed a promised stop to see Gibraltar. Despite all these comments, we did have fun.
