Want to learn how to ask a dolphin to complete a jump or give you a kiss? Join the Cozumel Dolphin Trainer program and get a hands on experience that will leave you with a lifetime of memories.
Be welcomed with a tropical fruit drink on arrival. You will be provided with towels, locker access and snorkeling equipment for the duration of your stay at the facility.
Meet the full time dolphin trainers, they will take you "behind the scenes" where you will be in close contact with the dolphins whilst assisting the trainers in every aspect of their work including feeding and behavioral training techniques like hand signals and the use of positive reinforcement.
Visit the “fish house” and laboratory where you will learn to prepare the dolphins diets and learn about basic husbandry, training techniques, daily reports and medication.
You will be taught a anatomy lesson on dolphins as well as participate in an interactive training lecture. Following this session participants will be provided with a mask and snorkel and guided to the snorkeling cove, where you will receive information on the forms of marine and fish life, which you will view with safety and ease.
The third part of program is conducted on a waist deep submerged platform. This is a very hands on program, allowing you to ask the dolphin to complete a variety of behaviors, including kisses, vocalizations and jumps. All participants receive a kiss and pectoral fins shake.
Participants will then proceed into the deeper water of the natural ocean coves to swim and touch the dolphins in their own environment where they will enjoy a dolphin ride. The dolphins are directed by the trainer to swim by each participant allowing you to interact freely with the dolphins.
Lunch at the restaurant overlooking the Caribbean Ocean is included.

- Must be at least 4 feet tall to participate in the dolphin program. If participants are under 4 feet tall they are required to be accompanied by a paying adult.
- It's a requirement that all participants know how to swim.
- Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in the program.
- A cost of approx USD$25 for each companion not taking part in the program is payable direct at the entrance of the facility. This covers the use of the facility and snorkeling area.
- Highly recommended to use ecological sunblock while in contact with the dolphins and please remove all jewelery and bright objects.
