It was better than I expected! I loved the keep toir and the snorkeling and the surprise stop to the lighthouse. Miguel was the best! The only downside was that we didnt know their were no automatic transmissions. Thankfully one of us in oir groip could drive a stick so we had to be in one jeep
We had a great time!!!!!!! Our tour guide Tino was terrific. Tino was informative, helpful, great company, and managed to keep me alive while we were snorkeling. We enjoyed every bit of the adventure...Thanks
This is a must if you are visiting Cozumel. Not only are the guides super friendly and make the trip fun, but u truly get a taste of what the island has to offer. On this tour, you drive a jeep while following your guide around the island. It's the best way to see the island w/o the sun roasting u
This tour is a great option to explore the Island, you get a little bit of everything, beach, view, food and adventure.
We had a great time! Maybe it could include some more Mayan ruins during our way, but unforgettable anyway!
All the other jeeps in the caravan had families or groups and after taking a look at my husband and myself, Moses decided to place us in the jeep with Phillipe, herding the others from the rear. It turned out perfectly for us, since I could drive the stick shift but didn't know how to put it into 4-wheel drive. I was worried about mud, as it had rained during the first part of the tour, but we never had to go into 4-wheel drive at all.
The national park was fantastically beautiful as the sun came out and everything had been washed clean. Phillipe was a terrific guide, showing us the wildlife and telling the history of the small building in the park used as a weather station. And the snorkeling was also amazing. Lots of fish, anemones, a huge lobster.
The food at the small restaurant afterward wasn't that great, but we were so hungry after the snorkeling, we would have eaten anything. There was a small group playing Mexican music when we arrived but they left while we were eating - I would have liked to have given them a tip.
We then drove along the coast, admiring the gorgeous vistas and then turned inland to stop at the tequila factory. I had no intention of buying tequila but when I tasted the "medicinal" tequila with almond oil, I knew I had to get it for my health. Amazing taste!
What a great day we had and this was the highlight of the entire cruise.
The excursion was great. It was a small group of 10. It was nice when we saw the other tours with many more people, we knew we made the right decision by choosing this tour. The guide was great he made sure we were all having a great time. Would definitely recommend it.
The tour was great and our guides Phillip and Alberto were even greater.
We would recommend them to everyone. We might go back just to see them.
What an amazing experience! From start to finish, they guide and company made the process smooth and very enjoyable. Jeeps were in great shape and fun to drive. Snorkeling was amazing! Very professional staff and a 5 star experience!
Awesome! Jose and Bobby were both great. We have already referred some friends to use them who are going to Cozumel in the coming months. We truly enjoyed ourselves.
Great tour guide! He was really knowledgable and caring. I personally don't know how to swim, he explained step by step about how to snorkel. He also swam and held onto me the entire time. The tour in cozumel was awesome with great information of maya culture!
The jeep excursion was amazing and the snorkeling was unbelievable. David the guide did a great job explaining all stops and was great with the kids during snorkeling. If you have the time it is well worth the price.
I'd highly recommend this tour. It's a great value for the money. We walked from the Carnival terminal to the El Cib hotel, which is very nice. We met our tour guide David who was absolutely great by the way. Local time in Cozumel is one hour behind compared to ship time, so keep that in mind. Also, make sure somebody in your party knows how to drive a stick shift. They had jeeps with automatic transmission, but the majority were stick. The drive to the beach was maybe 30 minutes, so you get to spend plenty of time at the sights. Snorkeling was also great, the reef was beautiful....we saw a sea turtle, star fish, lobsters and a barracuda. The lunch afterwards was very nice and included chicken fajitas. Overall it was a great day. I've been to Cozumel at least ten times and this was my first excursion there. I didn't even know the nice things the island had to offer.
Always a good decision. I've done this 3 times and it is always a fun trip. I wish that we would go off-roading like they used to allow us to do years ago. We would do the Jeep off the beaten path and get wild. Once it was after it rained and the mud was Awesome! now it is much more tame.
This was by far the best tour I've ever been on in Cozumel! The snorkeling was great, the sights were fantastic and the meal is still being talked about. The guides were knowledgeable and always making sure we had fresh water.
Our guide was great, a great tour and he explained things to us. He was great at
the snorkeling part to, as I am not a very good snorkeler, but he helped me out.
Then we had a dinner when we got back. Would do it again, thanks.
EXCELLENT! Had a great time, great jeep ride (although I didn't know how to drive stick, but I made it through) and then Snorkeling and the lighthouse visit was a once in a lifetime experience! No complaints!
Very good tour to see the whole of Cozumel. Lorenzo was a great guide and very informative of all the places we visited. Would recommend this tour to others. 1st tour we have booked while on a cruise not from the cruise line and it exceeded our expectations.
The jeep and snorkel tour was amazing and the tour guide Jorge was awesome.
Had a really great time on this excursion. The tour guide was fun and friendly, and the destinations were beautiful!
Meeting point was down the road . To wear my ship docked .excellent tour guide Felipe ,he was great... jeeps are only standard . we are a family of six so we have to split up only four people per Jeep . Will definitely recommend .
The roads in the park were terrible--way too many pot holes. Your tour guides were o.k. The snorkel part of the tour was much better. The man that took us out to snorkel was good. However, the man in the kiosk where you get the snorkels and mask was rude. Overall, we enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to our friends.
The jeep tour was very fun. The hotel where the tour began is just a 2 minute walk from the international pier. We were under the impression that we would be driving the jeeps through the jungle, but it's just driving on highway for a bit and once you get to the park you drive on a flattened dirt road. Although it started raining as soon as we left town, our guide was very helpful in putting up everyone's roof. The beach where the snorkeling took place was nice and secluded. We had a good hour of snorkeling. The Mayan ruin is tiny; don't expect anything taller than one story. Although it was small, the history behind it is interesting. The guide also provided water, but any snacks along the way were extra. The chicken fajita lunch at the end of the tour was delicious. We had plenty of time to enjoy lunch, browse some shops, and head back to our ship.
Had a super time on the excursion and weather was nice as well. The ocean was a little rough for the snorkeling event but we survived it. We enjoyed the tour around the island before reaching the lighthouse and beach.
First the positives. The jeep was in good running condition and our guide was terrific. You get to see a lot of the Island and the snorkling site and beach were great!
Now for the negatives:
1.The hotel where we had to meet for the tour was a good 20 minute walk from the cruise terminal. (There was no mention of this in the description of the tour)
2.The tour had to wait for additional people to show up so we left an hour after the scheduled departure time.
3.Because of this, the excursion was cut by about 45 minutes.
4.There was no radio communication from the guide to our jeep as advertised.
5.Lunch was served after we returned to the hotel which was around 4:45. (This is way too late for lunch. Arrangements should be made to have lunch around 1:00)
I happen to be diabetic and if I would have known lunch was to be served so late, I could have brought a snack with me. Maybe you should inform guests of that in the future.
All in All, still a good tour and we had a great time
