The jungle was more like underbrush but typical for the island. The horses were lively but appropriate to our level of skill. The guide was great!! Definitely worth doing--would do it again.
Aside from the horse riding, everything was bad. We just rode through the forest, and the guides showed us a dirty pond and a small cave they claimed was a Mayan shelter. They tried to charge us USD $50 for the picture they took of us with the horse. We said that was ridiculous, and they lowered it to USD $10 for a picture.
