Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Cusco Archeological and Religious Sites Tour Including Sacsayhuaman and Cathedral of Santo Domingo. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
an informative tour at a pleasant pace. guide Jose Angel enthusiastic and interesting. such spectacular sites, so much easier to have transportation provided and details explained. highly recommended! might consider taking the tour after you have acclimated to the altitude as we go to rather high inca ruins and its more fun if you are not feeling sick from the altitude! do the tour on the second or third day! enjoy!

Because there was no one else on this tour, Viator let me customize my pick up time and the itinerary. I had already toured the cathedral and other in city attractions so we went only to the sites outside of the city: Sacsayhuaman, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Like all Viator guides that I've had, my guide was very knowledgable, informative and personable. Sacayhuaman was one of my top three favorite Inca sites. Don't miss it!
Very interesting and very professional tour. We would definitley do it again.
Fantastic guide always willing to please. Extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. All the sites were amazing. Tour was longer than expected which for me was a big plus.
Brilliant trip. Much covered in the afternoon. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and did not rush us. He actually spent more time itch us than we expected. He is one of th most passionate guides we had. Puma Sonqo lived for his job.
Really good tour - highly recommend - Hector our tour guide was great!

Firstly, pick up for the tour was on time and very professional. Miguel was very knowledgeable on the sites and very passionate about his heritage. His English was very good and he was able to relay his message to all members of the group. This tour gave a great insight into Peruvian (Incan) history and is highly recommended. It must be noted that Tambomachay is at altitude and the upper archaeological site has to be accessed by foot. Travelers should ideally acclimatize to the altitude prior to going on this tour.
Local tour operator is very professional in contacting our hotel as soon as we arrived to inform our pick-up time.
The tour guide is very knowledgeable and at the same time mindful of her tourists especially regarding altitude sickness and physical challenges.
We had an amazing time. Our tour guide Leslie was very knowledgeable. She had a very great explanation and respond to our questions very well. I would recommend about this tour.
Pros - Knowledgeable guide - Leslie - shes amazing, for the price you pay its worth it. Offers pick up from your hotel and actually called in and left message to the hotel a day before we arrived in Cuzco.
Cons -The tour says it includes a visit to Puca Pucara, but really we just passed by it (didnt stop). We had to wait in Sacsayhuaman for a couple that was late. It would have been helpful if the driver told us why we stopped and what are we waiting for (while our tour guide went to find and pick them up.
This tour was well done and we enjoyed it very much. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable and able to answer questions well.
The starting point of this tour was just around the corner from our hotel. The tour actually started at 1:30pm and not 1pm as stated on Viator and ran for 4.5 hours and not 3.5 hours as stated on Viator. It was very rushed at the beginning as they herded as like cows into the cathedral, so we didnt have many photo opportunities up front. Our guide, Clara, was fantastic and very funny!
Local provider unwilling to provide pick-up and drop off service to hotel as promised in the posting. In addition, the taxi they arranged for to take us back to our hotel got lost and we had to walk through a bad neighborhood to get back to our hotel.
Although the tour was supposed to begin at 1:00 pm, we were taken on the morning tour starting at 8:00 AM we had barely woken up. No one had informed us about this change, so you can imagine our surprise... An even bigger surprise was to occur when we learned that we would not be taken to see the famous Temple of the Sun in Cusco, the last objective of the tour, even though it was listed at the time we booked. The guide offered no explanations. AVOID this company by any means possible. They are extremely unreliable.
