Just amazing. There are 3 trains that leave and we were booked on the earliest, this only gave us 2.5 hours walking around Machu Picchu but to be honest it was all that was needed. I only had a day free and this was just a great way to do it.
A great day and well worth the early start. The train to Aguas Calientas was very slow, with great views of the countryside, valley and mountains, but the ultimate was the first view of Machu Picchu. Coming through the gate onto the terraces was very a special moment. Our guide gave our small group a very informative running commentary, and our 3+/- hours at the top was well worth the long day. Lunch was great back in AG and the just as slow train ride back to Cusco was pumped up by a Peru Rail fashion parade. Yes a long day but would do it all over again in a heart beat!
Amazing - Mr Jimmy (Salazar I think) was a fantastic guide. It was the best part of my entire trip. Well done!
Overall a great trip. Door to door service. If you have more time, I would do the 2 day trip that goes to the sacred valley. I would also do the sacred valley before you do Machu Picchu. Also, try to find a trip that goes in by the original way instead of the new way. Still amazing views, but the original entrance is even better.
I've never taken a tour before but this one was worth every penny. The entire day was completely stress free. The group was small and we could easily hear everything the guide was saying. Excellent!
Excellent tour, brillant tour guide, unforgetable experience. Everything was perfect, as always is with VIATOR.
One day wasn't enough for Machu Picchu!! Totally awesome, beautiful and peaceful!!! We had a very well informed tour guide,Jaimie Quispe Taracaya.he took us through the ruins explaining the history of Machu Picchu.
First rate experience with highly educated guides. Vistadome trainride included food entertainment and a fashion show. Perfect weather and comfortable transportation. Weather was great and the views sublime. Get in shape before the trip. Between the steps and the altitude, you need a lot of stamina. Awesome daytrip with great people. Britt
The organisation of this trip was great and the local guide for Machu Picchu was wondferful. It was value for money and so easy to organise. Would highly recommend
Every aspect of the day was taken care of--transportation to the train station, train tickets, bus tickets from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, entrance and guided tour of Machu Picchu, and lunch. Normally, I like to do trips like this on my own, but when I saw what was involved, I decided to leave it to the experts. I wasn't disappointed. A great day!
PS--If you can do the Vistadome train, I highly recommend it. The traditional food they serve is very good and the windows on the top of the train are really nice to have as the scenery is beautiful.
