Excellent tour and our tour guide, Chris, was very good, interesting and informative. The trip up the gorge was one of our holiday highlights.
How could Katherine Gorge rate anything under 5 stars? It's stunning! Of course you spend a long time travelling from Darwin and some of the stops are more about driver breaks than points of interest, but that's to be expected and is inevitable. Big compliments to Taffy, the guide at Katherine Gorge (and not just 'cos he's a fellow Welshman!) I'd recommend the trip but you do need to consider whether you want to travel for 13 hours to see Katherine Gorge. We did and would go again.
Great Trip ended up with a small group -n just the 5 of us in an SUV which made things easy. pleasant and comfy. Best part was the less than lazy cruise on the river - we ended being taken for a ride by Chris - "Mario Andretti" on a Speed Boat to three of the Gorge.
Really good tour, really good guide, really good lunches, price and achievement were very well. Any time again!
A fantastic day! I would recommend the trip if you have a short stay in Darwin and what to see a lot!
Fantastic cruise, lots of information about Darwin, Cyclone Tracy, WWII, a stop over at Adelaide River War Cemetery. Lunch on the cruise was great.
Absolutely brilliant tour! Picked up on time, good bus driver, fabulous lunch, awesome cruise with aboriginal guide (witty and entertaining), and delivered back to our hotel on time. Fully recommend this one!!
Great day and wonderful scenery - it is a must do journey. Driver gave good and entertaining commentary with consideration of all guests. We were let down by our lunch venue where we were served under cooked cold chicken rushed through our meal and then charged 5.00 each for a cup of coffee we had to make ourselves which was not included with the meal.
The gorge was beautiful. The tour was a lot of driving though and it felt like we drove to the gorge and then drove back. It would have been nice to combine one of the jumping crocodile cruises with this tour.
