Litchfield Day trip was Awesome. Tour guide provided lots of information on the National Park and also lots of insight into the history of Darwin. The waterfalls were breathtaking and swimming in the watering holes was so enjoyable. Also loved the lovely lunch provided. Sarah
Not to much driving. Cold bus - I gut sick after that. Amasing sights!!!
Excellent day trip, You get to see and do a lot in the one day. Recommend it to anyone.
I enjoyed the relaxing manner of this trip. The waterfalls were amazing and very beautiful
Stunning scenery, a must do day trip when in Darwin. Great guide with lots of knowledge.
A great tour with a knowledgeable and fun guide/driver. The rock pool swims were refreshing, although the second pool with the steps was easier to get in and out of than the first one. A nice salad and cold meat lunch, and there was plenty of cold water carried on the bus, so we could top up our water bottles whenever we wanted. Definitely worth the money!
A very pleasant day. Swimming in the waterholes was great but very dangerous on slippery rocks to get in.
it's ok to do, only because in darwin there's nothing else to do! so you visit the parks, if you are lucky you see some crocodiles, its very hot, many many flies around, food is not good, you are longer in the bus than outside... this is a kind of holidays..!
It was a great day, absolutely jam packed. We were well looked after. I would recommend it to a mature person as I was the youngest person on the trip.
A long day with a lot of travelling. Some older people on our trip found the walks to the various falls very arduous in the heat, so be aware of this.
The highlight are the Billabongs and rock pools we stopped at. Come prepared for swimming! The trip to/from Darwin is long and less rewarding, so also come prepared to snooze.
Lunch was most disappointing and to have to pay for desert and drinks, for the money we paid, most disappointing.
The bus was comfortable, the scenery and Litchfield made everything worthwhile.
It is a "small" tour. Lots of time to relax. It is possible to hike on your own. But don't expect a decent lunch, bring your own food.
We all enjoyed the trip to Litchfield well worth a visit, very enjoyable, the driver(Mick) was great very knowlegable. The only downside was we travelled on a small minibus and although not full, there was nowhere to store bags and wasn't that comfortable for a long journey.
Nice tour guide, lots of information and interesting facts. The park is lovely, the waterfalls very pretty.
At 152pp don't think good value. Other than driving there/back and to different sites, fees/meal only costs which had to be replenished before everyone had fair share - some people took too much at beginning of queue. Driver pleasant, but Management needs to be aware - when coach arrived at our pickup, driver didn't get out of coach to greet, when picking up other passengers drove off off before they were seated almost causing a fall, gave passengers a briefing of day before picking up last passengers, then a mixup of pickup location between company/passengers. Wouldn't recommend, tell other prospective clients to check other carriers.
The locations were amazing but we were unable to hear the tour guide (bus driver) and when asked to speak-up said his throat was sore from the previous day so we weren't able to hear about the places we went.
Least enjoyable tour of our holiday. We travelled in a mini bus - no cold water available (unlike all other tours which carried ample cold water). The main emphasis of our guide was to get it over with as quickly as possible, fo example the first thing he told us on the bus was that we would return an hour earlier than scheduled. He then seemed to focus on going as fast as possible between stopping points. Not a good day. We personally found a two hour stop at the Wangi Falls was too long, particularly as we did not want to swim. Even the swimmers found it too long.
We saw a lot, but didn't have enough time to go swimming nor to dry off and change clothes. Our guide was ok, but talked only dryly about the history. He did not document the places of interest. Food was not included. And the sandwich, which one had to buy, was too expensive for the quality. I would never do this trip again nor recommend it!
