Great trip. The scenery sells itself. Good amount of time spent at the waterfalls and Buley waterhole, which was amazing. Stopped for ice creams on way back sat outside cafe and cuddled pet snake! Nice BBQ lunch. Day started slow, when after driving for three quarters hour pulled over into the shrub and told we were going to be shown aspects of aboriginal life- playing didgeridoo and basket weaving! Felt we just wanted to get on to Litchfield at the time, but looking back it was very interesting and made part of the whole days experience. Mini bus was comfortable and air conditioned.
Had a great day out, would highly recommend all to do. The driver Scott's was fun and very caring.
It was a relaxing, easy going day in a very small bus. The magnetic termite mounds were really interesting. The walk between the falls was great. Thanks to our coach tour driver for the day (I'm sorry I can't remember his name). The weather was fantastic.
The waterholes and falls where just magnificent here. Make sure you make the effort to get out there
a very enjoyable day with a very friendly and knowledgable tour guide. Highly recommend this tour.
The Tour operator arrived almost half an hour late without an apology. The bus was old and second gear didn't work. The lunch was basic and didn't take into account my dietary requirements. The places included on the tour were spectacular and it would have been a really great day, otherwise.
We thoroughly enjoyed swimming at Wangi Falls. Transport was comfortable and commentary good.
This tour was enjoyable but the bus definately needs upgrading. It was unfortunate that our tour guide was ill and we had to wait around at Wangi Falls until another driver could be brought in to take us home. This led to a very long day with us not arriving back in Darwin until after 7pm. In saying all of that though I would recommend the tour as it was small, friendly and relaxed.
Great day out even if you don't want to swim in waterfalls. Very relaxed. Obliging driver. Small bus about on it's last legs but then so was I by the time we got home!!
Fantastic scenery. Swimming in waterholes, springs and waterfalls. No crocs. Our driver was not a local so not as knowledgable as other guides
We enjoyed the smaller group tour. The driver was young, safe and enthusiastic. He took us to a few out-of-the-way places that the bigger tour operators couldn't get to. We had as great time at Litchfield. The scenery w3as stunning
We had a fantastic day touring Litchfield National Park. The tour host was friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. It was a leisurely days touring with plenty of time for swimming and relaxing, just what we wanted.
We enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide was informative and friendly. The small group was more specialised and personal. Lunch was nice however we thought it was basic and could have been more.
Very beautiful nature and that's it. Guide doesn't know what to be on time and how to drive. And bus... it was really bad, not comfortable at all, very very old.
Time wasted because tour leader was confused about the programme, missed out on part of aboriginal cultural segment. Advertised lunch was a BBQ but only consisted of BBQd chicken burgers and tour leader did not check that all people were there at lunchtime so food was not saved for one couple. Tour was really geared for young people who wanted to swim at the waterholes, this should be made clear in the advertising. Water in container could have been kept cold and easier to access.
The tour was great with lots of beautiful cool running water however I have a disability and my husband has a heart condition. We were not advised how rugged the walking tracks were and the group including the guide walked off and we were left behind to catch up. When the guide did miss us and we explained about our conditions he did try to be of some help to me. I believe he was only new on the job and he did apologise and admitted he should have waited for us. This tour was not for anyone that is not capable of walking too far. I would recommend the tour to others but we were very cranky by the end of the day.
