George, our guide, was relaxed and told us many interesting things about the UAE on our way to the dunes. The dune was very suitable. George took care of us (softdrinks, took pictures, gave us a lot of time).
You have to know that Sandboarding is easier then Snowboading caused by the reduced speed.

Excellent Tour! Our guide, George, showed up early and was very friendly and told us a ton of info about the UAE and Dubai on our way into the desert. He was helpful with the sand boarding, allowing us to decide how many times we wanted to go down the hill. He had cold water and drinks in the car, as well. After sand boarding, he even took us to ride camels although it wasn't on the itinerary! He dropped us off after the tour right at the doorstep, which was very nice and convenient. It's a great way to get out of the city and see the desert - definitely recommend.

This was a fun excursion to the desert. On the day, I was the only participant booked so it turned out to be a private tour. The driver/guide was very professional and accommodating. The 4-wheeling prior to the sandboarding was fun and edgy. The sand boarding equipment was a very good standard. There wasn't much instruction so it's a case of 'give it a go'. Be prepared to get dirty (sandy). I enjoyed the morning and would definitely recommend it as a break from the shops and glitz of the city.

We were very fortunate in that we were the only couple on the safari, and so got a luxurious 4x4 to ourselves. Driver was really friendly. Had a fantastic morning. Realised I am a better snow-skier than sand-boarder. We went in January, when it wasn't too hot. Walking back up the dunes is hard work, so wouldn't fancy it so much in the summer heat! Definitely recommend though.
