Kylemore Abbey, Connemara
The scenery on the way here was just outstanding. You can only see a few rooms in the Abbey at Connemara but the grounds are large and there is a Gothic church and gardens to see.
Bunratty Castle
Lots of steps up a narrow winding staircase. Beautiful tapestry and wood carvings. Our guide was excellent at painting a picture of what castle life was like.
Thatched Cottage
Incredibly well preserved. You can just imagine what it was like.
Coastline between Connemara and Galway
This is one of the places from where the famine ships sailed to Australia and New Zealand.
