Let me first say that we travel frequently on our own throughout the world; therefore, we use Viator to see the places we want to visit and experience while in different locations. Viator leaders are always interesting, informative, and fun. We never waste precious vacation time on finding locations, and always learn many things we would not have if we had not taken a tour. Having said all that, this tour was no different . . . it was great! We experienced a wonderful, informative day with a great tour leader. Ireland is a beautiful country, and the Boyne Valley is full of Irish history. Wonderful photo-ops. This is the best way to see theBoyne Valley from Dublin . . . easy, comfortable, informative, convenient, fun, and saves time.
Even though our bus broke down 15 minutes into the tour, we had a fantastic day. The transportation manager personally apologized to us, bought us coffee and snacks and later offered us a free night tour. Our tour guide/driver Kevin was amazing! He made sure we saw all the sites, gave us in depth information as he guided around each site and made sure our group was still back on time despite being an hour behind-this made sure my finance and I could make our flight home. The weather was great except for one bought of rain and our lunch was absolutely delicious! Our seats were reserved, the food was delicious and had great portion sizes. Our group was relatively small and we had each site almost all to ourselves, which was great! Fantastic experience :)
This tour was through Extreme Ireland. Our tour guide was Sara and she was terrific!! Sara was very friendly and imparted just the right amount of history. The day was fun and as an extra benefit we visited the Bective Abbey. We appreciated Sara giving us the opportunity to see another relic of Ireland's past.
Excellent trip! We were only two couples so we had lots of attention from our guide lol! It was fun and even it was raining when went to Loughcrew Celtic Tombs, as the myst crept up while we were walking there it made all more magic and fascinating.. The Visit to the castle was great and having the guys "enjoying" their heavy armour for half an hour around the ground was priceless hahah! Both the guide for the whole tour and the one in the Castle were outstanding! I highly recommend it to everyone! Ah, an advice, don't bring an umbrella it's better a raincoat and waterproof boots or wellies!
A great tour! Lots of fun and great info. So worth it! Eddie, the guide, was top-notch. The tour would not have been as wonderful without him.
Jim is a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. We had a great time, and we got to see A LOT! I think Loughcrew was my favorite, but the whole tour was excellent. We truly enjoyed it!
The tour was great. Our guides were informative , professional and fun. Weather was rainy and cold, but the sights were a treat. We learned so much, we weren't rushed. Highly recommend this tour and Viator.
It was interesting; beautiful; the guide was entertaining and informative. Enjoyed all of the trip.
This was my favorite tour. We saw the High Celtic Cross of Ireland, stood on the ground where high Celtic kings were once crowned, and saw burial grounds older than the Egyptian pyramids. Our tour guide, Dave, was friendly and knowledgeable. He took us to an excellent small-town shop for lunch.
This was an amazing experience. Mac was an awesomely funny and knowledgable tour guide and all the stops were fantastic. I can't recommend this tour enough.
Great tour with a great guide! There was so much content, which meant that the tour never got boring, and there were so many things to see off the beaten track. I got some amazing photos, too. Great places to get lunch and souvenirs as well. Even with the rain I had a great time! This has to be one of the best tours that I have been to in Ireland and I would highly recommend it!
well organized/scheduled, very kind assistance, good to understand the historical background
I took this trip on September 21st--and I only note the day because of the outstanding tour guide that we had. I had an aircast on my leg which didn't slow me down much, but he always took extra care to make sure I was OK. His knowledge of the history and personal experiences made the trip very enjoyable even if I did learn something :) We covered a lot of ground--but in a timely manner. I especially liked the smaller size of the bus.
