Great day trip! Glad we booked this trip, so we've seen a lot more of Ireland then "only" Dublin. Spectacular views and experiences on the Cliffs of Moher, lifelong memories without any doubt, fantastic!
This is a must do. Everything was well organzided and accomodating.
This trip was great! Totally worth it. The drive is absolutely easy and enjoyable. The driver was very entertaining. I loved it! I would do it again.
What can I say Bud our tour guide and driver was hilarious! What a fabulous tour. The Cliffs were spectacular and the Burren was a sight to see. Absolutely amazing landscapes, scenery and ruins. Bud made it that more interesting with his facts that he shared about the places we saw and his stories that he added in. including being serenaded with an Irish song. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and he didnt stress about getting back by 7pm which was nice. He seemed to go that extra mile to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. With a hug for just about everyone as we said our goodbyes at the end. He obviously loves his job and is wonderful at it. Hope if you do a day tour and get Bud as your guide you will enjoy it as much as we did :0
Our bus driver Gerard was the BEST. We had a wonderful day. He kept us a head if schedule. Wonderful humor, great history and stories, very very enjoyable!
Just perfect! And our tour guide Joesph was an amazing guy, he was funny, talkative and very informative
Magnificent tour. Barry, the driver/tour guide was very amusing, engaging. I loved his Celtic fairy tales and his humor in between Viking and Norman stories that kept everyone laughing. Cliffs of Moher is an exceptionally beautiful and breathtaking place to visit. A truly 5 star or more tour that no one visiting Ireland should miss that.
It was great! Worth the price. The cliffs are amazing! There were the perfect amount of rest stops and photo opportunities. The driver Eddy or Eddie was informative, polite and even told a few jokes. I recommend sitting towards the front of the bus so you can get off first at all the stops.
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Ireland! It was enhanced by the wonderful guidance by Gerard! Not only was he super-knowledgeable, personable, funny and genuine, he also made us WANT to return to the beautiful country of Ireland and definitely take another tour. Thank you Gerard, you are a gem!
We were fortunate to have sunny weather, but do expect to have wind. We booked our trip with Extreme Ireland bus tours and had a very comfortable ride and spent a little over two hours at the cliffs. The other stops were just enough time to take photos, or go to the restrooms.
Tip #1...don't drink all night in the pubs the night before...this tour was great. We stopped in several places I would have never seen if not for this tour. Bus driver/guide was entertaining and even sang to us during the 3 hour drive across the country. We had to get up early to walk over to where the bus was picking us up and the bus took off around 7 am. You might want to get there early to board the bus if you want to sit together. Bus was pretty full when we go there. Got to stop at Barak Obama center(for quick coffee/breakfast) and also another stop at Limerick on the way to the Cliffs which are magnificent!!! You have 1.5 hours to check everything out at the Cliffs of Moher stop. We ended up stopping in Doolin for a lunch stop. The way back is beautiful scenic drive up the coast with another stop at a historic stone church/cemetery site that was again historically overwhelming. Trip is worth it - got back at 7:30 PM or so. - great day and saw many things in one 12 hour tour.
We chose this coach tour because my friend and I were somewhat limited in our schedule. Our tour guide and driver for this tour was Liam. He was quite the character with funny stories and kept us well informed during the tour.
The cliffs were truly an astounding site to see and did not disappoint. It was extremely cold and windy on the cliffs, so I recommend a good windbreaker/ rain coat, scarf, and some good hiking boots.
There were plenty of shops and such to browse while on the cliffs.
Overall, it was a beautiful day and the scenery was divine.
My husband and I took this excursion in September and had great weather. We are so glad we booked this, as opposed to trying to drive it ourselves...our bus driver did some heroic driving on tight and windy roads! The Cliffs of Moher were stunning. And, the meal we had in Doolin was the best we had in Ireland. We also took the Ring of Kerry excursion, but we preferred this one, as it offered more time to be out of your seat exploring.
