Meet your guide at the Poolbeg Marina and join this thrilling high speed boat tour. The majestic bay is framed by the Dublin and Wicklow mountains to the south and the Hill of Howth to the north. Poolbeg is the only Yacht Club and Marina in the heart of Dublin. Situated in Ringsend, a harbor area with a colorful maritime tradition stretching back to the 17th century.

Settle into the high speed boat designed for comfort and speed and begin cruising on the River Liffey. Your guide will tempt you with entertaining snippets of life in Dublin's Docklands 300 years ago. As you move up the river pass Pidgeon House, the Electricity Power Station which is a site of considerable significance in the history of Irish technology and stands with Dublin's own Twin Peaks towering above it.

Next encounter the Great South Wall, the most spectacular structure stretching out into the bay. Your Irish guide will continue to enthrall you with local folklore as you travel past the Great North Wall, and behind it is Bull Island, a designated UN biosphere reserve. Now... full steam ahead as you cruise to exclusive Sorrento Bay. Catch a glimpse of the homes where Ireland's rich and famous live. The band members from U2, Bono and The Edge both live here along with famous Irish writer/director Neil Jordan. As you return home pass James Joyce Museum, the Forty Foot bathing place, DunLaoghaire Harbor and stretch out into Scotsman Bay where you can experience the fun and excitement of the boat before returning to the marina.

Meet at Poolbeg Yacht, Boat Club, and Marina, located at South Bank, Pigeon House Road, Ringsend. It is very close to Dublin and situated 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from the city center. You must make your own way to the departure point, which is easily transfer by local taxi or catch any 1, 2 or 3 busline to to Ringsend Village. The stop is a few minutes walk from this beautiful Marina.
