We were met at Trinity College by our guide and set off from there. April 22, 2016.. I highly recommend this tour. This guide was extremely knowledgeable and perceptive.
I liked the stops we made at various points so that she could speak more in depth about the site we were at and so we could ask questions. Sometimes walking tours set up a pace and one just tries to keep up, but learns very little. Well, I learned a great deal about Dublin and where places are ... Very important if one wants to save precious time and not wander around wondering where it all is. Some of the highlights were Trinity College, Bank of Ireland, Temple Bar, Dublinia, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin Castle and the great history around them. Do this, and I hope your guide is as well versed and thoughtful as ours. Price is right!
Very good tour, comprehensive of the main old town. The guide found places for us to sit along the way and she was very knowledgeable, a PHD from Trinity.
Great tour! The guide was very knowledgeable and told great often funny stories about the history of Dublin, both ancient and recent. A great way to see the city centre and learn more about the city. Budget more than 2 hours, though--there is a lot to see and hear about.
The tour was very educational in regards to the History of Dublin :) I think it was coming to an end but we stopped for 5/10 minutes grabbed a quick coffee the tour guide Peter kind of disappeared his instructions wasn and #39;t great when we stopped. Apart from that I enjoyed it.
Guided by a history graduate, this tour was a great introduction to Irish history. We started at University College, and got a good picture of the city and it's development, along the way more and more details were filled in. Importantly, there was no sense of being pushed to a schedule, or being limited to a particular rehearsed set of topics. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone new to Dublin.
Excelente. Um guia muito empolgado para explicar todos os detalhes da história da Irlanda.
Rainy and cold day but the tour guide made the best of it. Very informative and entertaining tour.
Excellent guide! Very interesting content and storytelling. Was a great introduction to the city and became the foundation for further sightseeing on our trip.
Our tour guide Tommy was extremely informative and took the time to explain many of the great landmarks of Dublin City. He even gave us tips as to where to stay away from tourist traps and what great films to watch regarding the history/heritage of Ireland. Very easy-going and a good buy for your money - about 2 hours for the tour. Note: if you want to take the Literary Pub Crawl and see the Little Museum of Dublin, you get discounts for those tours from taking this tour. Also, make sure to take this tour at the start of your journey. We did ours at the end only because of scheduling.
Patrick, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about Trinity and Irish history, really making Ireland's struggle for independence come to life as we strolled the grounds at Trinity and the city streets. Going on this tour helped us see the city in a new light and to understand the significance of the buildings and neighborhoods around us. Highly recommend this tour!
Excellent Over 2 hours of very informative and humourous by a Guide who was confident of his subject .Highly recommended
Knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide that had prepared a great tour but was also prepared to answer any and all questions that arose. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a light and fun tour of Trinity College and its surrounding area.
It was excellent. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and she gave us immense insight about the history of Dublin. We covered a lot of ground and she kept it all very interesting and entertaining. Well worth doing!
Peter our guide was simply wonderful. Through him we learned so much about the history of Ireland, of Dublin, of the wonderful people living there. This tour is a great way to start your visit in Ireland..in fact I would say it is a must!
This was a 2 1/2 hour tour conducted by Peter, who graduated Trinity with a degree in history. It was an excellent and very educational and enjoyable tour. A good hike around Dublin. One of the highlights in our six day trip to Ireland. I highly recommend the tour. William S.
This was the highlight of our Dublin experience. The guide was fantastic and enthused us to make further visits. please keep us updated on proposed tours North of the Liffey.
Two hours flew by. We had a GREAT guide that mede everything interesting. We covered a lot of ground at a quick pace. We went back to some of the places we discovered on this tour for a more in depth visit.
Do this first thing and you will know where you want to go back to during the rest of your stay in Dublin.
This did not include the Book of Kells but that is worth seeing as well. The line can get long but if you don't like to wait in line, check back a couple of times during the day and you might find the line is all but gone. It fluctuates all day I am told. The line is short in the building and what you see out the door is pretty much all of it. Besides the Book itself, the Long Room upstairs is quite a sight to see.
Our guide was very informative and very humorous !!! Well worth doing and I highly recommend this tour!
Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgable and genuinely engaging. She dealt well with questions and used humour and tact to describe Dublins historic relationship with England. I can thoroughly reccomend this tour.
Great walking tour! Our guide, Donal, was excellent and informative.
