Absolutely loved it

I loved this trip! The people were friendly and fun, the guides brilliant, witty, and informative, and the sightseeing well worth every penny. Ireland is beautiful, and the way to see it in a short period of time was definitely this tour.

When we were there the weather was unusually sunny. The weather was fabulous and not usual for this year. We made pictures that could equal the ones in the museum at the cliffs. For a comparison, the view is great, but not quite like Grand Canyon, Carmel, or the Smokey Mountains.

Although the weather was really bad, the commentary of guides and bus driver were great. It's not so tough to do a three day trip, the program is built to please the travel enthusiasts. The price was still quite high.

This tour took us out of the city to see some of Ireland's must-see countryside. We saw some amazing scenery. We enjoyed the train ride, but there was a lot of bus travel on this tour as well. We couldn't imagine doing the southwest by bus only. This tour helped break up the travel and is worth the extra cost over the bus-only tours. The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the history of all areas. Killarney is a fun town with traditional music in several pubs, even on Monday and Tuesday nights at the end of summer when we were there. Our Bed & Breakfast accommodation was nice, although it was about a fifteen minute walk to downtown Killarney. Others on our tour stayed at different Bed & Breakfasts, and they weren't that thrilled. It might be worthwhile to ask for alternative accommodation if you don't like what you see upon arrival.

The guides were knowledgeable and the sites were worth visiting. I felt some stops did not give enough time for exploring/experiencing the site.

Organisation of the rail part of the tour is a bit chaotic, and there was virtually no introduction about what the trip is all about from the "guide". The bus trip part is better and the driver/guides from Killarney and from Limerick are highly commendable. We were also lucky with the weather.

We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, but I would have liked more explanations from the guides.

We had a great time, but I would have liked a little more explanation from the guides in some areas.

This trip was great. The tour guides were all very knowledgeable. They did a good job of balancing timing and touring. They were also sensitive to the changes in weather! We all stayed at different bed and breakfast locations in Killarney, which was a little disappointing as it would have been fun to have all the people on the tour together. One of the drivers that picked us up for a short ride did not know how to get us to our next bus.

Well worth the trip, some wonderful people on the trip. The people who organised the tour were very helpful. The ease at getting around was easy and directions were of a useful nature. All in in all a fabulous time and would recommend it.
