Dublin Traditional Irish House Party including Dinner and Show

One of the luckiest experiences you could have in Dublin is to find yourself at a traditional Irish house party with musicians, singers, storytellers and dancing. Unlike any other show in Dublin, the show is organized by local traditional musicians who create this famous Irish tradition in its original intimate and homely setting. There are no stages, microphones or fake antiques hanging from the walls commonplace now in the many large refurbished "Irish" pubs around Dublin. The venue is a beautiful family owned Georgian building in the heart of Dublin's literary quarter and has the character and history to hold a traditional Irish house party.

On arrival, you are welcomed by your Fear an Tí (host) for an evening that will both entertain and educate! Once you have finished your meal, the music song and dancing begins. The show is suitable for all ages. You can take part in the entertainment as much as you like or simply sit back in comfortable surroundings and enjoy.

No Irish house party is complete without a good feed beforehand and you will be served a delicious three course Irish dinner. Families with children are also welcome. The price includes a traditional Irish dinner, a presentation about traditional music and Irish writers, a live traditional music session, storytelling, learning a song in the Irish language with a songbook, trying some simple Irish dancing and the house party piece where you can perform something yourself!

Your Seanchai (storyteller) will meet and greet you before the dinner and tell you the story behind some of our most famous traditional Irish foods, all of which you can experience as part of our dinner from a choice menu (see below).

Starters:

• Freshly prepared Soup of the Day
• Irish Potato Skins with Crispy Bacon and Cheese Filling
• Traditional Lansdowne Caesar Salad, crispy bacon and freshly grated parmesan

Main Courses:

• Baked Fillet of Salmon, pea puree and a lemon and dill beurre blanc
• Seared Breast of Chicken, Champ Potato served with a bacon and caper reduction
• Traditional Irish Lamb Stew served with Creamed Mash Potato

All of the above is served with a selection of potatoes and fresh market vegetables

• Warm Apple Pie with Fresh Cream
• Freshly brewed tea or fine roasted coffee
