What You Can Expect
Explore Georgian Dublin, the historical houses built in the 18th and early 19th centuries during the reigns of King George I through King George IV. These stately brick homes feature cast-iron architectural touches and reflect Dublin’s past under British rule.
Next, explore the burgeoning Docklands District, located on the banks of the Liffey River. Take note of the vibrant hotels, cafes and bars of this contemporary area before returning to Dublin City Centre, where you’ll see famous landmarks including the Spire of Dublin, a stainless steel monument standing 398 feet (122 meters) over O’Connell Street that lights up like a beacon at night.
This short but illuminating loop around the city ends, on O'Connell street, early enough for you to experience Dublin’s rich nightlife!
We did this tour our first night in Dublin, and so glad that we did. It was a great overview of the city, with a funny and talented young man so also sang Irish folk songs as we drove around town. He gave us some great insight, not only as a Dubliner, but also as a student. My husband, who is not a big fan of bus tours enjoyed this tour tremendously. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who was looking to get the lay of the land in Dublin. It was pretty quick, and he gave us a great restaurant recommendation at the end.
We had a lovely evening and a lovely tour.
Excellent! Guide and driver were great!
Tourguide, Sean, was very knowledgeable and entertaining
This was really good value. The evening was a bit drizzly and chilly up on top deck so wear a windcheater or hoodie! The wee shots of Irish Whiskey that we were greeted with on entering the bus helped take the edge off however. Guide was energetic and informative. He actually sang a few traditional songs and strummed his guitar well also. Good experience.
Sean was the best. It is not a typical tour. Sean makes the evening come alive and tells you such history as you drive through the city seeing Dublin. It was the last thing we did in the evening and it was the best way to end our trip to Dublin. Thank you Sean...
Great tour. It added another perspective to our understanding of Ireland. A good combination with the Hop on hop off bus for day time.
I purchased the open bus tour for my son and bride on their first night in Dublin. Thought it would give them a chance to relax after a day of sightseeing and see anything they may have missed. Guess it was a hit b/c my son sent me an email later that night: The bus-tour was so much fun, we had a blast! Thanks for that!!
This tour was the best hop on hop off deal we ever purchased. The live commentary was excellent and the airport transfer was a bonus.
