Fabulous day trip with a knowledge tour guide. A beautiful medieval city with lots to see. Glendalough and surrounding countryside was beautiful.
Really awesome tour.Highly recommended. Our guide was great and very informative.
Katrina did a great job as tour guide. She gave lots of good information. We chose to not see the caves as we would have had very little time left in Kilkenny. Instead we saw the castle, then a medieval house in town called the Roche House which was very interesting. Then to Glendalough which is really an interesting place. Really enjoyed this tour!
There was lots to see and I learned a lot. This tour shows a visitor the countryside and it was beautiful.
Excellent tour and guide! Kilkenny is lovely, and you even have time to take a hike in Glendalough.
This was the first of two Viator trips we took on our recent trip to Ireland, and I definitely would use Viator again when I'm traveling in the future. Corinna was our guide on this trip and she was great. Fun, good sense of humor and chock full of local knowledge - everything a tour guide should be. I've returned home to New Zealand with some great photos and memories.
It's a beautiful tour!!! Great drive from London:) Our tour guide was so awesome!! Sheifra told some great stories all along our journey:) Kilkenny is such a great town; very quaint, friendly people and wonderful food and shops:) Glendalough was so pretty. Beautiful mountains, valleys and lakes:) It's a great day trip out of the city.
The tour was exhausting but very enjoyable. The bus was quite comfortable. We were given plenty of time in Kilkenny to walk about and shop or see the castle. Lunch in Glendalough was lovely. If your feet can handle it, take a hike up to the lake.
We had a good tour guide and bus driver! The city of Kilkenny was great and you can walk around The whole city! Glendalough is just a great and beautiful city and I would tell everyone to go and see it!
Lovely trip. Great guide. Took alot of photos. Kilkenny was the best on the whole trip. Fell in love with that town. We will ofcourse travel with you again.
Wonderful tour. We had a fantastic guide who was very informative. The only gripe I have is the time frame allotted. Once we reached Kilkenny, we had the option of exploring the city or going to the Dunmore Caves. I wanted to do both, which is doable, but leaves very little time for anything else. We were able to explore the caves (very cold and wet, so be prepared), get a quick lunch, and run through Kilkenny Castle (admission is not included) before leaving. The time in Glendalough was adequate; my husband and I were able to walk to both lakes and a few other very picturesque places before heading back to Dublin. Although rushed, it was definitely worth doing.
This was a great tour and a great deal of fun. The guide was excellent, very personable, and knowledgeable about the area. It was nice to have the opportunity to do whatever we wanted at each location and the amount of time available to spend in Kilkenny and Glendalough was adequate enough to explore the different locations.
This day trip was the highlight of our whole Ireland vacation. The tour guide (I forget her name) was very informative without being overly present. She was very interactive and gave wonderful commentary. We were snowed out of Wicklow Gap, but they made the detour just as nice. I highly recommend this trip. Tip: Skip the caves in Kilkenny and use your time to explore the castle and town below. Also eat lunch in the design center using your voucher. The food is DELICIOUS!
