The trip was a journey of excitement and fun. The train ride was so comfortable and pleasant. The best part was that we were escorted the whole way until we met up with the Coach. Then the coach driver was also our tour guide. He did a great job! In this particular trip, the coach bus was overfilled. It should have been separated into two buses. This is a very popular trip. When every seat is taken on the bus, it becomes too uncomfortable and too many people to keep track of. This is the only viator trip I took where the entire 52 person bus was filled. All other adventrues have been much smaller buses and smaller groups. The weather was perfect. Our driver so delightful and so friendly. It is amazing how much the tour director (who usually drives the bus) shares about the culture, people and sights. Great job except the coach ride for the day.
A long day, but worthwhile. We were lucky with nice weather, although a bit hazy. But the scenery was incredible! Our guide/driver was very knowledgeable and a lot if fun.
The tour was absolutely fantastic with gorgeous scenery. The tour was very fast paced but understandable due to the timetable and areas to be visited. Our tour guide, Paddy was tremendous. Horse races were taking place at Killarney, where we departed the train and returning we missed our train back to Dublin which was a 2 hour train trip, Paddy was involved the whole time and made sure we made it back to Dublin. On arrival at Dublin, at 11 PM Paddy helped us with obtaining a taxi back to our hotel. I would recommend this tour to everyone. The scenery is fabulous and everyone we met was very gracious.
The tour was fabulous...great staff, friendly, and willing to make your day as memorable as possible..a no hassle, good time trip!
OMG. This was TRULY amazing! I ran out of superlatives! We were blessed with good weather. it was cloudy, but clear - no haze. We could see the Dingle Peninsula clearly and our guide said we were so very lucky to have that view. The scenery actually brought tears to my eyes on several occasions. The tour is 100 miles and I took about 100 pictures. Everywhere you looked was stunning and photo-worthy. Our guide took us to beautiful locations and let us stretch our legs often. It was well organized and extremely beautiful. It is a MUST do if anywhere in the area!!! We were worried that we would be exhausted by the end of the 15 hour tour - but we were exhilarated instead. I didn't want to leave. Next time I'm going to stay on the west coast to see more.
Guide Jim from Railtours was exceptional. It was a wonderful experience. Perhaps consider a stop to examine a peat bog and peat extraction, however there was indeed a little museum to that effect at the first stop. Loved Sneem and would spend less time in Waterville and maybe stop at Cahersiveen. We got to see a rainbow. How do you guys arrange that? It was a spectacular trip!
This was the second Viator tour we took during our trip. Although it is a long trip, you can't beat the amazing views of the Irish countryside that you will enjoy. We LOVED our rail guides who were very friendly and kept us on schedule. Thanks to you all!!
Beautiful. Really enjoyed everything! Train ride was so nice. Tour guide was great!
Some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Ireland! Our tour guide was professional and knowledgeable! Don't miss this tour!
A beautiful scenic route, similar to Skyline Drive in VA or the Blue Ridge PArkway in NC. Winding, small roads around gorgeous lakes, mountains, and coast. The drive itself including lunch is about 6 1/2 hours. Getting to the start of the drive from Dublin was another three hours.
