When I met up with the group for this activity, there were 70 other participants, which I thought was too big of a group. We only went to 2 pubs. I thought that it would have been more interesting to visit some of the others. The 2 musicians were extremely enthusiastic and informative, but the whole explanations about the music got boring after the first hour, and the whole activity was too much of a tourist trap. I thought that the music explanations could have been a lot shorter and the pub crawl, seeing the pubs, could have been longer.

There are lots of tour operators in Dublin that do musical pub crawls. This one kind of dragged because the musicians spent more time talking and less time playing, and they didn't really engage the audience much. It should have been called a music-history tour, which would be more accurate. I still had fun and met lots of interesting people.

There was too much talking and not enough music. We would not do this again. We left the second pub and did not go on to the last one.

With only two musicians, it was a big disappointment and certainly didn't compare with some of the sessions we experienced elsewhere on our trip throughout Ireland. I am sure there were those in our group that really enjoyed the evening, however.

We pre-booked it for my sisters hen weekend and pre-paid. We ended leaving after half an hour, followed sharply by a stag party. You are not allowed to have a laugh or stamp your feet to the music and it is called a pub crawl but you go two pubs where it is like a music lesson. My advice: do not do it.
