The guide (Marko) was superb! We had a brilliant time. The best guided tour ever. We appreciated his presentational skills, deep knowledge of the history of the area and his diplomatic skills in retelling events from the past.
Marcus was a great guide, very knowledgeable, good pace, informative and he had a great sense of humor.
The Wall tour was amazing. The tour guide, Marco, was a true historian when it came to the Wall and the city of Dubrovnik. If you do one thing in Dubrovnik, this is it.
As Toastmasters, my husband and I are used to evaluating professional presenters and we both agree that Markos is a remarkably engaging and expressive speaker. His knowledge of Dubrovnik's social and economic history is second to none and he is rightly passionate and proud of his beautiful homeland. We took this tour on our first day and it was a great start to a great holiday - well worth the money.
Wonderful, engaging tour guide, a wealth of great information, the views are almost indescribably beautiful.
Great tour. The city walls are a beautiful monument and being able to walk all around is already an amazing experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a very good overview of Dubrovnik's history and the role the city walls took in old and most recent wars. Good value for money!
The tour was very good. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend this tour to any traveler. The guide was very informative and charismatic so it made the tour both interesting and fun. My only complaint is that Viator's website doesn't indicate that there is an additional fee of 100 kuna (30 kuna for students with valid student card) to physically enter the walls. Lastly, be sure to do the 5pm tour to avoid many people and very hot weather.
There were only 4 on the tour, so it was like a private tour. We are in our 50's and the other couple much younger. Our guide Marko paced the walk so the we were never left behind. It was obvious that he loves Dubrovnik....His stories were entertaining and very informative. We were concerned how we would cope with the walk, but there were plenty of stops along with stories, and we managed very easily. Many thanks Marko.....great tour.
If there is one place you should visit in Dubrovnik, it should be this. Our guide was amazing as well.
This was an excellent tour with an excellent guide. You need to be reasonably fit - I counted about 500 steps
Our guide Marco was a wealth of information on related topics and was also humorous. We'll worth the few bucks for this tour
This is a must do. Very cool views and our guide really educated us on the history of the city and the country itself, from wars dating back to the 1400s to the more recent conflict in the early 1990s. Well worth it.
Arrived in the morning at the appointed time but there were only three of us so the tour could not go ahead. I don't think we understood that there had to be a minimum of four people before the tour would start. That said we were advised to comeback at another time and were told that no matter how many people turned up we would go on the tour. A little bit of a waste of time but in the end we went on the tour later in the day. A local guide who was very knowledgeable providing us with good history about all the areas of the town. Although there were lots of steps the tour was very manageable with frequent stops for photos and information. We were also advised that we could use our tickets to visit the St Lawrence fort and again well worth the walk. A very good tour and one that we would certainly recommend as a must.
