Excellent tour by a very knowledgable guide. Well worth the cost!
Tour guide was delightful. She was very knowledgeable and took time to make sure we were with her all the way. The tour office was very hard to find name on the instructions not the same as did the tour.
This was a great tour. The weather was shocking but Ivana persevered and gave us a great account of all the Dubrovnik happenings in the recent years.
She displayed a passion for her country that touched us all.
The tour was well organized and our tour guide made it very interesting.
I wish I had written down the name of the excellent tour guide we had because she was outstanding. She and our driver were at the exit of the ship area with a sign waiting for us at exactly the right time. We then had a drive around Dubrovnik to see various areas and on to the Old Walled City area. As great numbers of tourists in other groups wandered around this tourist-packed area, my husband and I were so lucky to be her only tour people that day. She explained the history in an interesting way and even took us down alleyways with old graffiti written hundreds of years ago. She always tried to keep us away from the massive crowds and out of the sun. She knew interesting details about the area and we could tell that she enjoyed her job. I would highly recommend her and I'd like it if you would publish her name with this review so that others might request her. I want to also give credit to our excellent driver.
This shore excursion was fantastic. Our guide Anna was very knowledgble
This tour was perfect. The city was amazing and the tour guide (Elvis) was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Had us laughing much of the time. As rated, it couldn't get better.
Tour guide was thorough and knowledgeable. Very Friendly We would use her again.
I wish I had only done this tour in Dubrovnik, it was the only one you needed. Great guide Ivanna. She was very knowledgable and interesting to listen to, loved learning the history of this city and country. It poured rain most of the tour but we were prepared with Umbrellas and our pull overs, Ivanna was a trouper and finished the tour anyway. Loving Croatia and the people. Thank you Ivanna!
the tour guide was outstanding!!!!wish I would have known about your company before booking the stupid carnival cruise tours
Most beautiful Old Town district, I visited this town twice [one on another cruise], I could keep going back, beautiful.
Beautiful place especially the old town which is a city within the walls. Check out the beach if you have the time.
This by far was the best excursion I have taken our guide was very informative and brought us great knowledge of Dubrovnik. Our whole family loved it!!!
Excellent!! Ana was terrific guide on this tour of a most beautiful city. Thank you.
Love Dubrovnik and surrounding area. Our guide could not have been better. She had a wealth of knowledge of the area and was extremely helpful answering questions both politically and historically.
Excellent excursion. Guide very knowledgeable. Nice balance of guided and free time. Have highly recommended this tour
Great tour which ended up to be private. WOW! We enjoyed our guide and she was prompt and very courteous. She gave a detailed account of the history of Dubrovnik and small interesting tidbits of
different carvings on the walls. All very interesting!
Great tour and tour guide. Office was difficult to find as it was not clearly signed and had different company name.Clearer instructions needed to office-luckily we had someone who could point us in right direction after asking many people who didn't know where the office was.
Our guide was really bubbly and knowledgeable. Even though it was really busy walking through Dubrovnik she found alternative ways round. The tour started with a bus trip up to a good panoramic viewpoint of the city and coast. We had a couple of hours to wander on our own then either stay or get the minibus back to the ship.
A couple of things to watch out for is the information Viator provide up front.
They referred to the international port where the cruise liners dock as the “Port of Gruz”, when we asked on board no one knew that was its name
More annoyingly Viator tell you to meet in the “big white building” – every building is big and white! It took us 40 minutes to find the “main terminal building” – better still would hav
Lastly the trip was excellent value, only 6 of us on it instead of the cruises 30+ and a fraction of the cost.
The meeting location was somewhat hard to find (at the end of the long pier), but once we got there our tour guide Ivana was welcoming. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day but we made the best of it. After stopping at a scenic viewpoint, we arrived outside the Old Town. Ivana was quite knowledgeable and provided us with the history and significance of the fountain, church, and sites within the walled city.
This was a wonderful excursion. Due to a rain storm my party arrived about 5 minutes late. Our guide was very accomodating and did not make us feel bad. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We had a wonderful day in Dubrovnik.
Overall this was an excellent experience. Arriving by ship our directions on the voucher as to how to find the starting point were a bit sketchy and the route on foot from the ship to the correct terminal building was poorly defined. That said, once we met our guide things improved immensely. She was knowledgeable and articulate. The ride to the upper elevation photo op was a nice touch to start...marvelous views of the old fort and monastery as well as the harbor. Moving on to the old walled city we saw many marvelous sites, enjoyed the native market for nuts and scents, the fresh gelato readily available was as good as we had all through Europe. We did not walk the top of the old city wall due to mobility issues and stairs, but those who did said it was worth the climb. We found the whole experience of the old city very charming and totally worth the time to visit...a place we would return to...hard to believe it was a war zone just 20 years ago.
There was stress attached to the original meeting. We were anchored off the Old City. The larger cruise ships dock at the new port 10 minutes and 10 euros away. After running around looking for a white building with a red roof we cabbed it. The tour was excellent and the tour guide was lovely
