Your private Dubrovnik shore excursion is a great way to see Dubrovnik’s wonderful Old Town, plus get out of the city for a look at another Adriatic coastal town. Your tour starts with a panoramic drive down the coast to the small seaside town of Cavtat. On the way, stop at a marvelous lookout point, where you will have gorgeous photo opportunities of Dubrovnik and the coast.
In Cavtat, your private guide will tell you some interesting facts about the town, whose history dates back to the 6th century BC. Cavtat boasts a lovely scenic promenade; take a walk along the seafront and have a cup of coffee in one of the many pretty cafés.
After Cavtat, your tour continues with a walking tour through the Old Town of Dubrovnik. See the Franciscan Monastery, containing a restored sculpture of the Pieta and a gorgeous cloister dating back to the 14th century. Or visit Sponza Palace, which now houses the State Archives. Other highlights on this tour include Orlando’s Column, the City Bell Tower, the Rector’s Palace and the Church of St Blaise, the city’s patron saint.
