Absolutely fantastic! Best part of my UK trip. The small size of the tour there were just 9 of us in late October and the relaxed itinerary meant that it didn't feel like a package tour at all! The scenery was just lovely throughout, and we got very lucky with the weather. The only quibble was that even though we got many chances to explore on our own, I was hoping for even more opportunities for hiking and walking in the wonderful dry! countryside.
I thought that this tour was great. Our guide, Audrey, told amazing stories and had musical interludes for us on the journey. One note, I wish I had known that this trip was being booked through the local tour operator. When I was deciding on what tour to book, I chose Viator because I had a great experience in Italy and wasn't familiar with the tour operator, even though the agency we booked our apartment through in Edinburgh was offering a 10 discount to book a tour with that same tour operator.
LOVE this trip! I wish I had more time to travel with Rabbie's more.
This tour was beyond amazing...the bus was very comfy, the driver/guide was very well prepared, very knowledgable and extremely friendly (Duncan). He showed us mind blowing scenery and helped us get around the small towns. The accommodation at the Woodpecker guest house was splendid as well.
This tour was the best part of our UK vacation!! Matt/ Matthew, our tour guide was second only to the beautiful Scottish scenery, in what made this trip so great. The tour itself a 3 day teaser of Scotland's history, music, myths and legends, and the landscape. Matt's 'havering' provided us invaluable vignettes about Scottish culture, both old and new ... and his perfectly timed Scottish music was the cherry on top of the cake. Angus' B and B was amazing - the room, the breakfast, and the pleasant company, really made our stay exceptional! This was our first organized tour, and I believe Matt, Angus and the tour operator have set the bar really high for all our future experiences. I would highly recommend this tour to all first time Scotland visitors!
This was a great trip. Daniel, our tour guide, is extremely knowledgable about the history of the Highlands and brought the beautiful landscape's fascinating past to life.
excellent, excellent--every part of it, except the weather, of course, which was cool and rainy. Did not prevent the trip from being fantastic.
These were the best three days in Scotland. The scenery was unimaginable, the beauty never stopped. Our guide, Dave, was an amazing wealth of knowledge about Scotland, and his commentary was very interesting, he seemed to be part historian, part folk-lore teller, and part comedian - a truly great mix! Would recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing the Highlands, and Inner Hebrides of Scotland!
Beautiful scenery. Unlike anywhere else in the world. Our tour guide was great! Very witty and knowledgeable.
Al is one of the best tour guides you and #39;ll ever meet. He is knowledgable and ensures the tour is comfortable, safe and enjoyable for all passengers. The accommodations for this trip (we chose b and b) has a very homely feeling and the breakfasts were fabulous. Flow and pace of the tour is very well-thought.
I was on the fence about taking this tour and I am so glad I did! The pace of the tour was perfect and had the right amount of free time. Al was the best tour guide. His passion for his country definitely came across in his storytelling and I loved that. I would definitely recommend this tour company and/or this tour to anyone!
Great experience, good accomondations, outstanding tour guide / bus drives and lots of fun.
Very well organised, absolutely fantastic guide, who had great knowledge of Scottish history and played great Scottish music on the bus. The accomodation B and B was very good. A very enjoyable 3 day tour. I would recommend it to anyone.
What a wonderful trip! We have never done a guided tour like this before. We always have tried to find our own way. After the 3-Day Isle of Skye tour we are converts. What a wonderful way to see the highlands and learn some of the history we would never have learned on our own. Our tour guide was wonderful and I would recommend this tour to a stranger in a heartbeat. It was that good!
could not be better. great people, great B and B, beautiful country.
Amazing guide! Doug was the best. He was very knowledgeable and very entertaining! The trip was absolutely beautiful! I would do it again for sure! After doing 4 more tours I would have tripped Doug 3 times as much ! He was a real gem! Not all guides are created equal !
Our driver George was excellent. informative, funny but not goofy, and had lots of valuable information.
Rabbis bus was not too large 16/? very new and comfortable.
wonderful scenery...even in the rain. A beautiful part of Scotland. VERY HAPPY WITH THE TOUR
Guide was Al who seemed to have an unlimited knowledge of Scottish history and is a great storyteller.Best guide ever! You will have a chance to experience Scotland in a way you couldn't on your own with an enthusiastic tour guide who is passionate about not only Scottish history but current events
The tour of the Scottish Highlands was incredible! Such beautiful sights to behold. We could never have seen it all on our own. And known about the special places to visit. We had a terrific group on our tour and our Tour Guide Glen pulled it all together. He made it special with his knowledge and story telling. He was so passionate about everything it made it more exciting. What a beautiful part of Scotland to discover.
The 3 day tour takes you to a selection of natural and man made tourist attractions. The drive is long, but there are many toilet breaks and the scenery is beautiful. We were lucky to attend on rainless days with a few spots of sun. There was a fair bit of walking involved but no mud, so regular running shoes and a light jacket were enough.
Our guide, Al, was humorous, friendly, and really knowledgeable about all facets of Scotland. Some of the locations seemed remote or difficult to reach without a guide, so these tours are a really hassle free way to see more of Scotland. We normally don't travel in tour groups, but this one was really worth it.
Our guide, Mike, was very good. He gave us all sorts of information about everything that we were passing by, and took great care of us for three days. My B and B in Portree was also excellent and well located. The tour was a good value, and I can't imagine a more efficient way of seeing the Highlands.
Our drive Liam was awesome! So much history and culture shared throughout the drive. We never felt rushed and each stop was something different. The days just flew by! Scotland is beautiful and the trip through the Highlands up to Skye was breathtaking
This tour was amazing and it was all thanks to our guide, Pete Falconer. The tour was a mix of history and legend, and even some local music selections. Our guide was a gifted storyteller and because of the small group size we could tweak the schedule as needed to accommodate any special requests. My only regret is I didn't have more time! Will definitely be coming back and booking another tour!
