We had a wonderful time during our 5-day Scottish Highlands tour. The service was provided by Experience Highland in Edinburgh. Our group of 16 came from diverse backgrounds, was congenial and full of fun. The accommodation was comfortable and breakfasts provided were great. Brian was our tour leader, driver and guide. In addition to his sense of humour, knowledge on Scotland's natural history and its people(s), Brian also provides an insight into Scottish perspectives on the sites and events of Scotland. He is extremely attentive to the needs of our group and his pride and love of Scotland are evident. We have also learned much about the cultural aspects of Scotland.

I felt as though I had been in a Scottish history class. Our guide, Stephen was as knowledgeable as any guide that I have ever been with. He made the Highlands tour a fabulous experience. I will recommend this tour to everyone that I know who may be coming to Scotland! I will also recommend that they ask for Stephen as their guide. He was the magic that made for a great tour!

I have been wanting to go to Scotland for several years and did extensive research on the tour company that I wanted to go with - I was not disappointed in Viator's booking of Highland Experience. I traveled with my family at the end of April/beginning of May and we were lucky enough to get our tourguide. While driving through the Highlands he would give amazing accounts of various battles, Scottish historical figures and political intrigues - and he would deliver it all interspersed with great humor. We did a lot in our five days. He truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy on the trip and that all of our individual interests were met. Before we arrived in each town and be left to our own devices he would give us a small tour and point out fun things to do or good restaurants to try. I felt this was especially helpful in orienting to the new environment. Our guide (and Highland Experience) was very enthusiastic and accommodating to a diverse group of interests (Harry Potter, to Diana Gabaldon, to specific highland battles and sights) - and everyone's interests were catered to! I have very good memories of this trip and wish to return to Scotland again - not enough time and still so much more to see!

Our guide Brian was OUTSTANDING. The accommodations were first rate and the entire 5 days were memorable. We learned with all of our senses. Brian taught us Scottish songs, history, lore, and facts. He managed to provide us with sunshsine, wind, sleet, snow, fields of green heather, hairy coos and new born lambs. We will recommend Scotland and Highland Experience to all our fdriends We KNOW we received real value for our money. Thanks again for Brian.

I loved the small group experience with a good mix of people, 5 days was just right to see everything without rushing! Lots of stops for photos and walks, views are worth it! Thanks to our tour guide for his knowledge on the lore and history of Scotland, and the soundtrack to the trip, much appreciated.

Steve showed us an amazing variety of Highland sights, with colorful details on each one. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the region and its history. I almost feel like I know more about Scotland than I do about my own country! Steve's knowledge means that he can adjust routes and plans based on weather and road conditions, which is great. There was a lot of camraderie on the bus, and we all enjoyed the kilt and sword demonstrations, as well as our evening at the ceilidh and our distillery visit. The fact that the transportation, the itinerary and accomodations were all arranged for us by the tour company made for an unusally relaxing trip. All we had to decide was where to eat, and thhe food ranged from decent (in some of the remote stops) to excellent. Yes, it would have been nice to be in our own car at some points to be able to stop and look at some odd building or another, but we saw more through this tour than we ever could have managed on our own (especially driving on the left). I will say that a five-day bus tour on winding roads is not for those with a weak back or stomach, and if you're not interested in Scottish lore and history, you may want to look elsewhere. This is not a trip designed for pre-teen children or below, though there was one four-year-old with us who did amazingly well. We had used Viator before for day and museum tours, and here we were trusting them with our whole vacation. They didn't disappoint. Their main strength seems to be working with tour guides who are incredibly knowledgeable about their regions.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The B and Bs were all excellent and a fabulous way to experience the local culture. The driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and provided great commentary and recommendations for each stop. The only downside was the size of the tour as it was advertised as no more than 15 persons and we had 27 persons on one bus. That being said the tour guide managed all very well and ensured an excellent trip for all.
