Our guide told us the history of Scotland and the borders while driving us around the beautiful countryside. She took pictures for us, answered questions and advised us on the best places to get a quick lunch and find toilets, very helpful. We visited a William Wallace Statue, Melrose Abby and Rosslyn Chapel. Photos are banned inside of Rosslyn Chapel. I wish we had more time at Rosslyn Chapel.
Our tour guide Stephen really made the day. As we travelled around he explained the history of the countryside we passed through in an engaging interesting way. We had enough time at our main stops, Melrose Abbey and Rosslyn Chapel. The whole day was professionally organised.
Thanks for a wonderful day.
Absoultely perfect day. I cannot say enough about this company and their guide. She was terrific.
A great tour. Seeing Rosslyn Chapel and Melrose Abbey was on my to do list for sure and they did not fail to impress. Our tour guide/driver Gillian was very knowledgeable, down to earth and funny. Overall a great day out listening to great stories and good music!
Neil, our driver was very informative, without being overly talky. He was an excellent driver. He gave us a short drive around Melrose so we knew all the lunch choices. I would recommend this tour to my friends.
Loved it! Our tour driver was extremely informative and seemed to really have an interest in Scottish history. That made the trip so much more enjoyable
A great trip. Rosslyn Chapel is one of a kind and a place you don't want to miss seeing. Our guide and driver Joe was great. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and a great safe driver.
Roslyn Chapel visit was all I hoped it would be. Melrose also a great stop for pics and lunch. Our driver, Joe, was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I absolutely loved this tour. Rosslyn Chapel is amazing. We arrived and were lucky to take part in a talk by one of the workers. This really helped us appreciate the site. Would highly recommend.
What a great day!!! Great drive and really interesting tour. The small Roslyn Chapel was so welcoming and exquisite. The Melrose Abbey ruins are some of the best of Henry VIII's destructive stupidity. I liked the walk into the William Wallace Statue and the statue itself. Great views of the borders.
Great view during drive and sights at stops/locations, knowledgeable and pleasant driver/ tour guide one person did both Vans used are very nice, clean and modern, however if you're not a small or skinny person the width of the seats are very uncomfortable if sitting next to someone more narrow than aircraft seats when you fly if that gives you a hint can't even fasten seat belt without leaning sideways to latch, I'm not small but far from huge 6' average build for that height in my 50's, same for my wife and son, the larger buses I've ridden in most tours before weren't as narrow and at least allowed the aisle seat to slide out for more room, these don't.
I have to say that Pete made this trip. He was hilarious. Such a great guide, loads of energy, a good laugh, great stories and just kept the whole day alive and going really well. As a result we really enjoyed it. Cheers Pete!!
Tour was very good, made more enjoyable by our guide, Jan.
I would suggest more time @ Rosslyn chapel. After 3pm overview by the guide, here was only 15 min to further browse gift shop etc.
Wonderful tour! Bob our guide was really good and made the trip so much more interesting. Very scenic, beautiful and historic.
Was not exactly sure what to expect for this tour but was pleasantly surprised! Melrose Abbey exceeded my expectations, as did Rosslyn Chapel. Was a little weird that we had to pay for each separately but it was well worth it! Also good to know that Rabbis conducts tours even for one person.
The folks from Rabbies were super. Really enjoyed all the stops. Great tour.
We were the only ones booked this day so had a private tour, no additional cost, and the driver from Robbies was wonderful, informative, and loves his town and truly knows his history. He was a true xelight and took a few side trips for us since we did not mind. Would truly recommend this company to anyone going to Edinburg.
Great tour and guide. Very private group, there was only 2 of us. Plenty of time to see all the sites. Our tour guide was very knowledgable about Scottish history and gave us great insight.
It was a wonderful tour! Not too much time in the van and plenty of time to see Melrose Abbey and Rosslyn Chapel with the option of time flexibility as well! Our tour guide (Audrey) was very knowledgeable and vivacious. It was a fabulous day all around.
Rabbies is the tour operator. small group and bus which makes it all the more personal. Heather was our driver/guide and very knowledgeable on Scottish history and great story teller. Visited Melrose Abby where Robert The Bruce's heart is. Climbed the steps to the top of the spire, great view. Visited one of the "Wallace" Statues/Monuments (not the main one in Stirling). Then onto Roslyn Chapel, absolutely beautiful. A most enjoyable day.
Jayne was a great guide! I enjoyed her stories and learned a lot on the trip! I enjoyed all of the stops.
