Very entertaining ! Guide and his sidekick were very good bringing the stories of Edinburgh to life !
United States of America
It was such a fun tour and very entertaining. Alexander Clapperton Deceased and his associate were both very informative and funny. It was great learning a bit about the darker side of Edinburgh. Not too scary so great for families and the amount of walking isn't very strenuous. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves with this one and definitely recommend it.
Tour guide was super funny. Not really scary more history oriented, which we appreciated. Great for those who appreciate history!
My family and I loved this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to others as it was recommended to me. Our tour guide, Alexander Clapperton, unfortunately deceased and his assistant (who played several different roles) were just hilarious and told some great ghostly tales. Unfortunately, I didn't get our tour guide's name, but he was fantastic (young student age, long blonde hair) in his role. The gentleman who played each character was great as well. Well worth the time and money. I would highly recommend this tour while in Edinburgh.
Booked this tour for myself and my grand daughter.Bit disappointed that only 5 people showed up. However the guys did a fantastic job and despite the rain they made it a real fun and interesting experience. My granddaughter who is ten had a great time and loves telling everyone she got her hand chopped off for begging and that gran is really a witch. Well done guys, would definitely do another one. Great fun.
I was expecting it to be very scary, but it turned out to be hilarious. Olivia, aged 9. I was scared out of my skin at least 3 times. Olivia's mum, aged 49. Very funny and we all learned something. Ps high heels and short skirts not recommended for this tour. Surprisingly, there were some.
Fantastic trip, good knowledge of the history of Edinburgh and a great laugh. Definitely recommended!
It was a great time the evening that we took the tour. We have taken several others in other cities and this seemed to be better than the others. It was not scary. The two had a good report with each other. The tour helped us to understand the early history of the city and the problems that it was having. We read the book and it was very enjoyable. We would reconment it to those who want to take a night tour.
These guys were so funny! Learned a lot! Would go on this tour again!!
This was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The tour ended up small - just four of us - and I think that's part of the reason it was so great. The guides/actors were completely amazing. The tour is very, very well done. My son is 11, and he loved it too.
My husband and daughter loved this walking tour. The weather was a little damp and wet so there were only four people on the tour and they had a GREAT time. Laughed and enjoyed it! Thanks? Every tour we booked with your service was outstanding.
This was an excellent walking tour! The narrators were great, we learned quite a bit a bit about Edinburgh history, and the performance by the guides was awesome! However hard we tried to be prepared, they always managed to catch us by surprise! We highly recommend this tour.
Good all round laughs with lots of frightening jumps for the children, with a tongue in cheek commentay
Although we booked for the Ghost tour, we were actually sent on a Witchery walk. We were rather disappointed but the lads who conducted the Witchery tour were highly knowledgeable and put just the right amount of humour into the tour. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, we certainly did. Next time I will make sure we go on the Ghost tour.
funny informative walk with great characters! we had a great time, learned some stuff, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. we didn't cover a ton of ground, and you spend most of the time standing around listening, but again, the stories are good!
The tour was a great experience and the guides were fabulous! Only problem was that my bookings had been mixed-up so we were not on any lists. Although the mixed up bookings the guides solved the issue and we got to join the tour. Many thanks! I recommend this tour to all who are going to Edinburgh and if i ever go there again i will definitely go on these tours for a second time!
A really interesting and fun tour - probably much more 'atmospheric' if done later in the evening or when the nights are darker! Actors were fun and lead tour guide very knowledgeable.
Good walking tour. Adam Lyiall was very good, together with Clengar.
The tour was led by 2 guys, 1 college, 1 high school. seemed more like a really bad high school presentation, lots of melodrama, high school guy jumping at people. not much information, really boring, disappointing, and bad. we lasted about 25 minutes and then bailed. less than a waste of time. :
