Great trip!!!

It was a wonderful trip, and we loved going by minivan versus a big bus. The tour was much more personalized, and we did not have to wait on large groups of people. Our two children, ages 8 and 11, also loved the trip and the opportunity to see "Nessie"! Thank to our tour guide for a lifetime of memories!

We all had a wonderful time on this tour! Great guide, great weather, and great scenery! The driver went out of his way to give us the best picture opportunities, and we enjoyed his wonderful commentary along the way!

1 - The trip is beautiful. You spend most of your time in the car but enough time for photos and lunch and coffee stops. So the trip and material the guide has to work with to start with are MUST SEE. Scotland was beautiful with numerous castles in the middle of nowhere and lovely valleys.

2 - Our guide was a personable and very Scottish older fellow without a brogue or persona SO strong as to be incomprehensible. He knew so much and had a lot of interesting stories.

3 - The bus is comfortable and clean and the tour guide was honest - taking us briefly to a whiskey tasting spot but 'mainly for the toilets' and telling us to go ahead and try the samples but only buy something if we knew we couldn't find it imported in the US for cheaper, or even to go to Europe to buy it - Scottish themselves apparently buy expensive whiskey abroad to save themselves the UK taxes. Basically honest, no weird sales talks or long stops at boring 'workshops' as so often organized tours seem to do.

Our trip in the highlands was superb. Our guide was an excellent driver and wonderful storyteller who made history come alive. There were enough comfort stops to keep everyone "comfortable" and many photo stops as well. Altogether, this proved to be a great day and well worth the money.
