Is a self-guided tour. The castle and grounds are very interesting! Everywhere are helpful signs. My friend and I enjoyed visiting.
I have always wanted to visit the Edinburgh Castle. It definitely lived up to my imaginings. I would recommend seeing this piece of history to everyone
Lovely time looking round this castle plenty to see plenty of toilets a shop a cafe and we went straight to the front of the que as we had already booked our tickets
What a neat Castle. Entry was easy with the pre-printed tickets. Took the Edinburgh bus on your own from the cruise ship. Had no problem walking to castle entrance. Took us about five to six hours to tour.
Excellent toru and easy entrance into the castle having pre-booked the ticket.
As always, great visit. 2nd time visiting and will visit again. Need to visit again as both times were under tight timelines.
Spent several hours wandering around the castle on my own. Getting into the castle was easy and I didnt have to wait since I bought the ticket online. Much better than standing in line!
You cannot go to Edinburgh without visiting this brilliant piece of Scotland's history.
Tour of Edinburgh castle was brilliant. Lots of interesting facts about Scottish history. Would recommend it highly x
Guide was knowledgeable and personable
Beautiful castle, when in Edinburgh book this trip.
Great tour with Will, with some interesting spots for photos. Went for the evening tour and got some amazing shots of the evening. Some of the pics taken uploaded at my site.
Great being able to go right into the castle and stay as long as we wanted.
Entry was easy. The walk up to the castle was worth it. The view from the top was amazing.
We had an excellent time at the castle. Definitely worth seeing.
Limited visitors at time of our entrance so it only took minutes to get in. However, don't pass by the Visitor Information station where the Viator tickets must be exchanged for actual castle tickets. Plus, for 3 pounds, the audio guide was absolutely fantastic.
Great value. You could spend the best part of a day at the Castle and we did. There are several coffee shops, guided tours are free. Cobblestone streets proved difficult for a party member with a knee issue.
A must see in Edinburgh - Glad we bought the tickets early, saves a long line
We will be using Viator from here on.
Worthwhile to get the ticket ahead of time. No line ups to stand in, I simply redeemed the voucher at the visitors centre and walked up to the gate. The castle was magnificent.
Fabulous and historical castle and getting the entrance ticket in advance is strongly advisable, especially in the summer months to get ahead of the crowd.
Getting the voucher online ahead of time and exchanging them for tickets, beats the waiting and long line. The weather was perfect for walking around the castle. You could easily spend all day here, so much to see. Audio is a must get.
Very easy to exchange vouchers for tickets and entrance was fast. Crowd moved along slowly but we managed to see everything we wanted to see.
