Many people tend not to visit the Kingdom of Fife, but we really recommend it. It is a lovely region.
We had a lovely stop for some chips at the lovely fishing village of Anstruther. The next stop, St. Andrews, was also very interesting. We thought we would have 3 hours to spend there as advertised on the website, so that we could have lunch and visit the castle and the medieval ruins. But we had only 2 hours, and that was not enough. To have time to have lunch, we had to run to visit the rest, and there is a lot to see! Don't miss the castle and the church ruins and tower.
Unfortunately, we also had little time to visit the Falkland Palace--half an hour. Maybe because no one in the minivan was interested in visiting the palace besides us and a French tourist. We just had time to visit the inside of the palace, and no time to visit the gardens where Mary Queen of Scots spent her summer time. We truly recommend this tour and the tour operator.
