excellent trip!!! our guide Eric was very funny and had great knowledge about history and whisky: if we had more time,we would go on another trip too:
Overall the day trip was great, Jeff was an excellent host and made us feel quite welcome. He was also a wealth of information relevant to the trip and region. The road to Doune castle was blocked and we had to drive around a long detour but Jeff handled it quite well , making sure to get to all the stops. I would highly recommend this tour.
This trip was a memorable experience! It was a very good combination of beautiful scenery, a travel back in the past of Scottish history, charming castles, nice music and as we were lucky - nice weather too. In about 8 hours of travel we were able to see 4 castles and the lakes the castles are located at plus 2 additional lakes - Loch Lubnaig and Loch Lomond. We used to stop at each sight and we were given time to enjoy it and take pictures, while during the travel, our driver and guide John was telling us about the places we visited, interesting stories of Scottish history for example about William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, about the clans and life in the Highlands...After each legend, he played us a traditional Scottish song singing about the same legend, in the end we finished with bagpipes and some contemporary Scottish music like the one of Amy McDonald. John was an extremely good guide, very professional as well as a very kind and friendly person. Throughout all the hours he didn't get tired of telling us stories of Scotland, it was obvious he did this with passion and love for his country and could make us feel the Scottish spirit too :
If you don't like to take too long hours tour, this the the best you should get. Our Guide Mr Eric so wonderful and informative, also in small group tour I met a few new friends perfect for solo traveler too. Every place we visit is enough time to walk around, the small town Inveraray is my highlight, you should go explorer and walk around. No complain this your ,you should book it! Excellence West Highland experience ! Thank you.
Our photos will never be able to capture the beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Was a great tour.
I booked for myself and my friend. The tour was just brilliant. Our guide, Paul, was so knowledgeable about everything and so willing to answer questions and have a bit of a laugh with all of us. The tour was on schedule despite some missing people at one stop. The route itself was lengthy without being too tiring or being rushed. We had a really great time and I'm already planning on going on another tour.
You'll not find a finer, more knowledgable, more interesting, passionate, proud, and patriotic guide than James B. Our 10 hour tour seemed like only 2 hours because of his attention to detail, his gregarious and affable manner, his presentation of history facts and lore. As I former high school history teacher in California, I told him to tell his mother that if I were to start up a new school, I would want him on my staff. I don't have a bigger compliment than that.
A lovely day out! We visited many different sites, beautiful castles, castles ruins and lochs. It is definitely a must if you want to know about the Scottish history and especially The Highland and the lochs.
I'm giving this tour a 5 star review because everything we saw was amazing and I would highly recommend everyone to go on this tour. Although I'm giving this tour a 5 star review, I do think there were two problems with the tour however, the two problems aren't large enough to warrant a lower star rating because everything we saw and everywhere we drove was amazing. The first problem was that the tour says it's a small group but in reality it was about 16 people, which is way too large of a group for me to be called a small group. We took another tour in England that was 5 people total which I would call a small group. There was a group of extremely loud and disrespectful people on the tour as well, but that doesn't reflect my value in this tour as I know that's not a representation of that tour. The second problem was I felt like we didn't get too long of a time at each location we stopped at. The tour should have been a 12 hour tour instead of 10 hours to give us more time at each location. Regardless of those two small problems, this really was an amazing tour and we got to see so many amazing things and places. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone if they're looking to see a lot.

A very enjoyable day trip from the city to see some stunning locations and scenery. The location of Kilchurn Castle was the real highlight for me - the scenery there is absolutely incredible. Also enjoyed the history and the guide was great.
Wonderful tour. Our driver/tour guide John was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The places toured were gorgeous!
We had a fabulous time! I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, John, was the best! He gave us a lot of history while we drove and kept everyone interested!

Gorgeous, interesting and fascinating. Loved this tour and will definitely be going on it again and other tours through Rabbies.
Our guide John was amazing! He gave us history, humor, music and went out of his way to accommodate everyone's needs. The trip was completely full, yet with only 16 people it was a very nice sized group. The weather was perfect, the castles we visited were all so different from each other....and the lochs were picture perfect. This is a great tour for those who want to see an overview of this beautiful country.

Loved, loved, loved this tour. Will definitely do it again, and also will go on other tours through Rabbie's tours.
My husband and I had a great time with Karen as our guide. The views were gorgeous. The weather didn't cooperate and the timing right before all the castles opened could have been better for our trip, but we enjoyed all the historical background I'm a historian and the beauty of the highlands. We'd love to do a longer tour next time!
Our tour was fantastic. Our guide Fran was knowledgeable and engaging. We had plenty of time to see each of the stops and she made picture stops for us along the way. I highly recommend this tour
This was a wonderful addition to our trip. Ally was an incredible guide and so knowledgeable on everything from ancient history, pop culture, to the landscape. We weren and #39;t able to go into a few castles, because we came during and #34;off season and #34;, but we still saw a lot. Highly recommend doing this day trip!
In spite of mist and rain, the day was a treat, with terrific commentary from Mac, whose litter collection at each of our stops was impressive as well. I will try the tour again in spring. Thanks for the information on where we were going, without the boring jokes and bad music that characterise many day trips.
This a must tour for everyone not familiar with Scotland. Our tour guide William was a descendant of Rob Roy and was truly knowledgable of Scottish history, particularly the Scottish highlands. his great sense of humor made hours seem like minutes---The Castle and church stops were awesome, but the Scottish Highlands dwarf everything in their beauty and majesty. William has a rare ability to help project you back to the time of Clans. But don't fail to ask him about the march of the penguins! This was a truly enjoyable day that I'd recommend to everyone---especially the Outlander fans like me! Enjoy!! By the way his driver was the best I've seen on my 10 day tour!
it was simply magical and excellent and I recommend it to everyone .. very nice tour and very comfortable :
What a great tour. I do wish we could have gone into more castles but the weather was difficult. Our driver/tour guide did an amazing job and we especially loved her stories and her enthusiasm for sharing Scotland's history was great.
Absolutely phenomenal! Our tour guide, Aaron Mohr, really made it the best! He clearly loves his job and his country and the tour reflects that. The weather throughout our day went from rainy to sunny and back to rainy, but he navigated it well and improvised with a delightful detour when we were unable to make it to one of our stops due to closed roads. This was definitely our favorite part of our honeymoon!
