Audrey Hepburn has 'breakfast' at Tiffany's
A wax figure of timeless film star Audrey Hepburn surprised patrons recently by turning up for 'breakfast' at Tiffany's. But instead of being the famous jewellers, it was Tiffanys Cafe in Brighton where regulars coming in for morning fry-ups and bacon butties were surprised to find themselves sharing a table with the chic new Madame Tussauds double.
The figure of iconic actress Hepburn, in classic 'little black dress', wearing pearls and clutching cigarette holder, shared a ketchup-splattered plastic table in the Brighton cafe with everyone from burly builders to busy mums during the morning breakfast rush.
'She's such a classic beauty and one of the greatest film stars of all time, so we're really pleased to finally unveil her – and no better, unique occasion than breakfast time at Tiffany's cafe! I think it's certainly surprised a few of the regular diners,' said Ben Lovett, PR Manager for Madame Tussauds London.
The new figure will be on display at Madame Tussauds in London permanently.
A-list 'Lovelies' unveiled at Madame Tussauds London
Wax figures of Hollywood's glam comedy chicks Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz have been unveiled at Madame Tussauds London. The A-list 'lovelies' are hanging out in the Blush area of the attraction in an authentic hair and make-up movie trailer set, where guests can join them for a totally unique, thoroughly gorgeous photo. Ben Lovett, Global PR Manager for Madame Tussauds, said: 'There's no denying that Drew and Cameron are hugely popular international celebrities, so it was an easy decision to include them in the London attraction. We think that the girls will prove a huge hit with guests, and give our Blush party room another welcome touch of Hollywood glamour.'
