Our day trip to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii was hugely enjoyable! However, we do have a few suggestions that might make it even more enjoyable.
First, we were in the van following the tour guide and had to listen to his spiel through walkie-talkies, which were terrible. Almost half of what we heard was static. Even though he was providing an almost constant stream of information, we were lucky to hear even half of it. There must be a BETTER WAY of communicating!
Second, it was an extremely HOT day, and the only folks receiving the benefits of the air-conditioning in the van were the three in the front seat. The rest of us pretty much sweltered. When the AC was on high enough to cool the entire van, then those three were too cold, and it was shut down. We suggest vans with individual AC control at each row.
Third, the restaurant in Amalfi was mediocre at best. As stated, it was a HOT day, and the AC was practically nonexistent. On top of that, the pizza left a lot to be desired. We suggest a choice of maybe 3 items for dessert, one of which would be a pasta. Surely this could be arranged without too much effort.
On the plus side, the eye-popping scenery of the Amalfi coastline was spectacular, and the photo-op stops were nice. The highlight of the day was the tour at Pompeii. We had a first-class tour guide, and he brought the history of that city amazingly alive. We hope to use Viator in future travels and would recommend you.
This was an outstanding tour. The guides were great and friendly, particularly the guide at Pompeii. I have travelled quite a lot, and this was one of my great experiences.

A great trip - perfect number of people to experience the beautiful scenery and history of the Amalfi Coast. Fantastic guide and driver whose knowledge, sense of humour and fabulous driving skills made the trip comfortable and very interesting. The guide at Pompeii was excellent. I highly recommend this trip to others - well organised and well worth it.

Pompeii was excellent and the Amalfi coast was beautiful, we had a great time. The tour guide was very informative and the vehicles were comfortable.

This was an excellent tour and one of the best experiences on our entire trip. Our driver was excellent and answered our questions and was so helpful. The tour of Pompeii with our tour guide was exceptional. He moved very quickly which allowed us to see a lot of Pompeii in 2 hours. Amalfi was beautiful. Positano was gorgeous also. I wouldn't hesitate to take this tour again or recommend it to friends.

Great, fantastic long day. Great driver and guide. Very informative guide at Pompeii. Lunch much needed by the time you are done. This trip involves lots of walking so be ready. Amalfi and the coast are beautiful. Travel on the mountain roads a real adventure. All Day 7AM till 10PM. Not for the faint of heart.

Going to three different places on the same day means a tiring and long day, from 6:45am to 10pm, but visiting Positano, Amalfi and Pompeii was well worth it. The driver and guide were fantastic, as was the guide at Pompeii. Even though the tour was mainly bu bus, we did travel to Amalfi by boat from Positano. And you also get adequate free time to explore the towns. A great tour that I would recommend to anyone.

A really fantastic well balanced day. The tour of Pompeii was highlight of our week in Rome and the local guide was superb as indeed were our drivers tour leader.

This trip was awesome! Amalfi Coast was simply gorgeous! So glad we booked it, loved it! Pompeii was historically amazing and the tour guide was very informative. Great trip, don't miss it! Planning note - very high edge of cliff views so keep in mind if afraid of heights and the trip from Rome down to Amalfi/Pompeii is quite long, but worth the wait!

Our guide for the tour was excellent and so was the separate guide we had in Pompeii. Both of them were very interesting and informative. The van driver did an excellent job on the winding mountain roads. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Loved it. Amalfi Coast is just wonderful and Pompeii was incredibly funny and informative thanks to our guide. The time the tour took was enough to have a taste of these regions. We stopped several times for pictures and overall it was one of the loveliest tours I had.

Our guide was fantastic. He was very thoughtful of everyone and kept us informed of where we were going, what we should expect, and most importantly, what to see when we got there. The trip was long but very enjoyable!
