We really enjoyed our tour guide, a history and art major, who brought everything alive with her in depth knowledge of all the interesting characters and historical timelines. This tour was well worth the money. Our two sons, ages 10 and 12, got so much out of this tour, it was worth the money for the educational value alone. When travelling with young children, time is incredibly valuable as you will use up all their patience and interest wasting away in a line-up. We maximized our time and value, learning far more in 3 hours with our guide, than we could ever have on our own.

We had a fantastic guide and learned so much. The group was roughly 15 people, which was a great size, too. I highly recommend this tour!

The great advantage was to skip the line, which was miles long. Our group had only 8 people in it. That gave us a lot of Q&A time with the guide. I think such a small group is sort of rare, as other tour groups had upwards of 30 people all trying to squeeze in around the exhibits. Our guide was very friendly and pleasant. She took pains to keep us in the shade whenever possible a big plus in August. There is far too much to see in the Vatican to fit in just one tour, or even one week, for that matter. But for the first-time visitor, this was an excellent way to see some of the high points. It was absolutely worth the money.

A great tour and a great guide too. Very worth doing, and you don't waste all your day visiting the Vatican either - the afternoon is still free to do with as you please.

Although we had to wait in a queue for over 45 minutes to gain access to the Vatican Museums because of an administration error, the tour was brilliant and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed.

This tour was absolutely brilliant. Our guide was amazing, her knowledge was incredible. After doing this tour, I firmly believe that there is no other way to see the Vatican. I highly recommend this tour. Also, skipping the long queue was a bonus!

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable but not a bore and had a good delivery. The tour was 3 hours so be warned as this can be hard going in the heat but again the guide was aware of this. The museums make up 2/3rds of the tour with the Sistine Chapel (awesome!) and St Peters Basilica last, you leave the guide outside the Basilica. We would have preferred the guide in the Basilica but this did not in any way spoil the event. Don't attempt the Vatican City without a guide as you miss so much by pouring over guide books. We had personal headsets and walked at a group pace. Recommended!

The person in our group who has no religious beliefs really enjoyed this tour and now has a greater understanding and appreciation of this religion. We found the tour guide to be extremely knowledgeable and she had a quiet manner about her which was in keeping with the nature of this tour. This tour is recommended to all as the exhibits are absolutely amazing.

Absolutely stunning and well worth the money. Would have been lost and not understood most of what I was looking at.

Absolutely brilliant tour. Excellent guide. Takes over three hours but so interesting we didn't feel time even our two teenagers were engrossed. Definitely highlight of our trip.

Wow! This tour was definitely worth it. The Vatican is so big I don't think we'd have known where to start! The guide was great and knew so much about the Vatican and she could answer all questions asked! I definitely recommend going on a tour round the Vatican even if you don't go on a tour for everything else!
