Your tapas walking tour of Barcelona begins at a restaurant offering a wide selection of local, delectable tapas. Here you will enjoy three tapas with a glass of wine or beer, while your food and wine guide provides insights into the flavors of the wine, the cuisine and Spanish culture.
From here your guide will lead you to Barcelona's most famous street, La Rambla, with its bird cages, tapas bars and local restaurants. On your stroll down La Rambla you will make a detour to La Boqueria, the city's famous food market which offers an array of fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, live seafood, cheeses and every type of meat imaginable.
You'll continue to the Gothic Quarter, where you will discover the architecture, atmosphere, language and gastronomy that are unique to Spain, and some of the gourmet shops which are over 100 years old.
Your last stop will be at a Basque bar in a historic 14th-century building, an ideal spot to take a break on your trip through the Gothic Quarter. Here three tasty tapas and a glass of wine, beer or cider will be waiting for you.

La Boqueria market
The market originated as temporary installed meat tables on La Rambla since the 12th century. Here you will see many stalls selling fresh produce including fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat.

Mateu Serra I Capell was delivering coal, before he established his business as a baker in 1906. A main bakery in the modernist building at the Gran
Via 546. His daughter went to Paris and met Jocelyne Tholoniat, daughter of Etienne Tholoniat and together they reopened the store after the civil war. His three sons Christian, Joan and Jordi opened this Rambla store in 1986.
Cafe de l'Opera
Opened in 1929 in the same place as the old chocolateria La Mallorquina. To respect and conserve the history, they kept the Thonet chairs, the
mirrors of the 18th century with the female figures that reminds us of various Opera personalities. Some elements of the decoration is art deco.
Irati
A Basque Taparia in the center of the Gothic quarter. Taste of Txacoli or Sidra.
Granja "La Pallaresa"
Inaugurated in 1947 in a place that has been a dairy store (one of the first ones that served breakfast and lunch). Chocolate in homemade cups and the swiss one comes with whip cream on top. Mato (Cottage cheese) from Pedralbes and Montserrat. The inside decoration consists of large paintings of cows.
Fargas
A century old establishment specialized in workmanship of bonbons and chocolate. Has kept the inside like an old chocolate mixing mill.
Els 4 Gats
Opened in 1897 with the concept of spiritual food. Meetings of inner circles presided by Romeu. Spectacular Chinese umbrellas and marionettes.
La Catedral
The cathedral of Barcelona is a temple which began construction in 1298 and finished in 1420.
Casa Gispert
For more than 150 years "Casa Gispert" is dedicated to drying fruits and the art of roasting, until today a wood burning stove is used.
La Botifarreria de Santa Maria
A traditional meat store, where antique recipies are being used as well as innovative filled butifarras are produced.
La Vinya del Senyor
A store dedicated to wine: they have more than 250. Designed with excellent taste and a comfortable terrace, just in front of the Santa Maria del Mar.
Cafes el Magnifico
Daily they roast 25 different types of coffee, which are sold all over the world.
