If you have at least three days in Florence, do this trip. In one day you can visit Siena, a beautiful medieval town, San G, an amazing town on a hill, and Pisa. And on top of it all, a delicious lunch/wine tasting at a quaint organic farm. Take the thought out of planning and transportation. Our guide was great.
Olivia was fantastic. I am so happy I had this tour. it was the highlight of my trip. There is nothing like seeing the countryside of Tuscany. Olivia would tell us about the villages we were about to see while the bus took drove through the countryside. In Sienna we were greeted by a local tour guide that added flavor to her stories and our experience in Sienna. Wine Tasting was outstanding, I enjoyed the sights, the food, and the vino. Climbing the leaning tower of Pisa was an incredible experience. I am very grateful I had such a great guide to ask questions about the sites and general info for visiting Florence and getting around it. She was very sweet, very knowledgeable.
This tour was all that it was advertised to be and more. An amazing experience chaperoned by an experienced and engaging tour guide - Stefano is one of the best!
It was an amazing trip! Gloria, tour guide and Mario the driver, were exceptional. If we return we would do it again! Thank you Gloria!!
It was a great tour filled with gorgeous landscapes and an excellant light lunch with 4 wine tastings. Stephano our guide was excellent. Humorous and knowledgeable, he was the cherry on top of a great tour.
This tour was amazing. The guide.... I can't remember her name, but she was a Polish student living in Italy, was fabulous. The places we visited were great... Especially the organic farm and San Gimignano. I'd highly recommend this tour .
Great Tour, Great Great Guide, Great Driver, Great Food, Unbelievable scenery. The leaning tower is REALLY leaning, and fun to climb. The Vineyard was very picturesque, and served great tuscan food. We highly recommend this tour.
A great way to see a flavour of Tuscany in one day. The tour guide Gloria from Walkabout Tours in Florence was excellent. The travel to each location visited wasn't too long, the time spent in each location was just enough and a fabulous lunch in the afternoon with plenty of wine tasting made the day go really well.
I visited Italy for 11 days with my wife and my 6month old daughter. This tour "Tuscany in one day" was highlight of our trip. The tour was worth the money and we loved it.
We had a great time on our tour. Our guide, Olivia was wonderful. I highly recommend this tour. The visit to the vineyard/farm and the San Gimignano was by far the highlight!
Our tour guide, Gloria, was wonderful and knowledgeable about the places of interest we stopped at. She is friendly and approachable. She was passionate and loves what she does. I hope to get her again if I ever come back to Florence. We enjoyed the whole tour very much.
Lavinia was our guide and very passionate about her country. The day was filled with amazing scenery, comfortable traveling, a good bit of walking, and an excellent lunch. Siene was our favorite followed by the organic farm where we ate our lunch. We were a little too tired to appreciate the final stop in Pisa but it was still a wonderful day.
Highly recommended. Olivia was just brilliant. Loved that she told us some stuff about herself as well for a more personal touch. She coped brilliantly with the adjustments she had to make for each stage of the tour, following the traffic jams caused in Florence by the Inferno film crews. Her concerns were that the tour didn't suffer as a result.
Siena duomo was a surprise and just stunning, Definitely worth a visit, as was the town itself. The wine tasting itself was quite brief and done at the table and there was no pushing us to buy anything. After the wine, everyone was more relaxed and chatty and it made for a very convivial atmosphere for the rest of the trip.
San Gimignano was very quaint and pretty with unusual shops for plenty of gift shopping! We didn't feel rushed at any of the stops and had time to explore a bit for ourselves. Pisa did what it said on the tin...it's all about the tower! Time enough to take lots of photos and have an ice cream etc!
Thanks Olivia...great host for the day!
This tour is definitely worth it! The wine tasting, lunch and short tour of the winery was very good. Our guide at the winery was friendly and knowledgeable. San Gimignano is a very quaint and picturesque town. The only thing in Pisa of interest to most is the leaning tower and it is a sight to behold! When you go to Sienna make sure you have something to cover your shoulders as you visit the Duomo. It is a long day but these towns their history and the countryside are beautiful. Our tour guide Elisa was fantastic! She definitely knows what she is taking about. Our bus driver Emiliano was friendly, courteous and had cold water to purchase for only 1 euro.
A long but very worthwhile day trip. Our guide was Gloria and she was absolutely delightful! Gloria comes from Tuscany and was very knowledgeable about the area and the farming. In Siena our guide was Donatella and she was so enthusiastic and again delightful. You get to see a lot in one day and the lunch at the winery is really a special treat.
Very good tour, well worth the money. Visited three charming towns with big history and friendly locals. The lunch and wine tasting at the organic farm was one of the best I've been to. Agatha was an excellent tour guide. I highly recommend this tour to all.
The tour guide - Olivia - was terrific! Very professional and knowledgeable! It was a long day, but she never lacked for energy. Our driver -- I think his name was Santo-- was equally skilled. He had to back the bus down through a narrow street with parked cars, and I couldn't believe how expertly he handled it.
You can be sure I will recommend you to our friends headed for Italy!
This tour was absolutely a must do. The actual tour itself was very good. But what made the tour amazing was the tour guide Antonella. She was fun and charming, one of the best tour guides I had in all of Europe. The lunch was good, the town was good, would have liked a little more time in Pisa.
Walkabout did an excellent job of combining Siena, San G, and Pisa with an outstanding lunch at an organic farm with the most spectacular views of Tuscany. Gloria, our bus tour guide, and our tour guide in Siena were both terrific. My daughter and I were especially impressed with how Gloria made sure to speak with each tourist, individually, to see if anyone had any questions or wanted additional information.
