My experience to Castaway Island on a day cruise was fantastic from the pick up from the hotel to a wonderful day on the island to being returned to the hotel all without a worry. The tour escort was a lovely Fijian lady who couldn't do enough to help. I would highly recommend Viator.
This day cruise was amazing! There is no other way to explain it. Transfers were arranged to and from our resort. It took 2.5 hours to get to the island on the cruiseboat/yacht but you get to see all the other islands on the way which was fantastic. The boat has a kiosk/bar and toilet facilities and a sun deck. The only downside was that it was a little bit crowded. But as everyone gets off to go to their island it frees up a lot of space. The island itself is beautiful and the lunch provided was enough to fill us up and more! We snorkelled, kayaked swam and sun baked. We wanted to jet ski but unfortunately it was fully booked out. Everything was so easy and it was such a relaxing day. I just wish we could have stayed on the island for longer! While you're there just relax on Fiji time!
So glad we booked everything on line. The coach tranferes were superb except would have preferred a bigger coach when coming back to Naviti. On the whole it was fabulous. Castaway was just magical and food was yummmm!!

The Island was amazing and we had a wonderful time. Snorkeling was great. We were disappointed that on the way home we thought the tour included free drinks and entertainment but on the boat we were told it wasn't included and to get that we had to pay extra... Would have been a perfect end to a perfect day relaxing back with a glass of wine. I think this should be sorted out as we feel we didn't get what we paid for.
The transfer transport was not of a standard that I would expect. On the way home the mini bus had to get changed and there was no suspension really fun for 2hrs... That's the bad stuff. South Seas were excellent, the staff were fantastic, and Castaway island is so beautiful. We could have stayed there forever.We are definitely going back there one day for a holiday. Food was awesome too.
We were not at all impresses with this day, we went over to parasail and most of the watersports were not available. We were only in Fiji for 3 days and felt the whole day was a waste.
