based on Where better to take a wine appreciation class than in a cozy wine cellar in a Florentine palazzo? Accompanied by an oil and wine expert, you will enjoy a tasting of four prestigious Chianti wines served with traditional Tuscan snacks.
On this 1.5-hour pre-dinner wine tasting you will be introduced to the wines and history of the famous Chianti region. Your friendly wine expert will provide insights into life in a working vineyard, and share his knowledge of wine making, cellars and olive-oil pressing methods.
You will learn the correct wine-tasting techniques, and discover why different glasses are used for different wines. Olive oil is another Tuscan specialty, and you'll be introduced to the region's famous extra-virgin olive oil, made by selected Tuscan producers.
The wine tastings are served with Tuscan salami, canapes and bruschetta.
