This was a great side trip! The castle was beautiful and there was plenty of wine and food to go around. Afterwards, we stopped in Greve and had about 35 minutes to walk around the town. Great tour guide!

Had a great time, and met some very fun people to talk to on the way out and back, as well as tasting great wines and seeing a wonderful setting at Il Palagio.

I thought it was a nice change of pace after visiting museums. This allows you to see some of the beautiful countryside and capture great pics. The wine was good, although I have had better, but the scenery definitely made up for that!

The trip was wonderful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. My only suggestion is that we could have had more time in the quaint little village after the wine tasting. Highly recommend it!!!

The date April 22nd. The time 130pm. The location Florence, Italy. There we were. My girlfriend and I standing in the pouring rain trying to find the bus for the Chianti wine tour we signed up for. Thoroughly soaked and chilled to the bone, we boarded the bus, somewhat flustered and uncomfortable. Little did we know how great of a time we had in store. From the moment we arrived at Castle Palagio things turned around. The sun came out, and there we were standing in front of this amazing castle. After a short tour of the grand place coupled with a nice explanation of their olive oil and wine making process we went in for the tasting.
And things kept on getting better. From the wine and snacks, to the wonderful people we met while sampling, Jill and I really were enjoying ourselves. So much so, we barely caught the bus back buying some wine and olive oil to take home with us. Following the castle tour, we went into this charming and picturesque town. I can't say enough how surreal this place was. It's nice to see people still live this way. It's refreshing. >All said, this tour certainly was a highlight of our trip to Italy. If you're looking for a romantic and relaxing afternoon, I highly recommend it. Words don't do it justice.
Very nice and interesting tour! A very charming castle and guide.

This was an excellent excursion with friendly people. The guided tour around the cellars was informative and the generous wine tasting included several wines accompanied by lovely freshly cooked garlic bread and salami. The visit to the village of Greve in Chianti afterwards was worthwhile, and it allowed people enough time to look around the shops and to buy some of the local produce. The guides on the bus and in the castle were excellent.

We had a great time on the wine tour. Our guide at the castle, was both charming and entertaining. The countryside surrounding the castle is beautiful. Both the wine and olive oil were delicious. I wish I could have brought more back with me. The tour was just the right length of time. It was great to be on the bus and not worry about driving - that way you get to see the sites and not worry about having some wine! Our guide on the bus was also great giving us information about the surrounding area as we drove to the castle and back. I would highly recommend this tour.
