We loved our hiking trip with Fabian! He was an excellent guide and made the trip our favorite day of the whole vacation!. The hike was beautiful and was incredibly well planned.
This is just the most amazing day - don't miss doing it everyone !
It's a tough climb - they DID warn us , but the rewards just so worth it !
Didn't we all have such fun , due to the fantastic guides L.A. Lyn and Oh so Italian Johnny. !
Thanks so much for a superb day.
Cinque Terre Trip is everything and more that you could hope for !
Awesome tour. We were able to visit all 5 villages, had a great lunch, and ended the day with a boat ride. The hiking is not a simple walk in the woods which I figured it wouldn't be and requires some strategic foot placements. The trains can be crowded and cramped. I'm glad we went with a tour and didn't try to do this on our own as a day excursion. You only need a short bit of time in each of the villages too, as some are not large at all. Molly our guide was fantastic.
Julian and Lavinia were great guides. The lunch was amazing--so fresh and delicious. It was a great day!
Fabian was an excellent guide. Extremely diligent regarding protecting us from pickpockets even called some out verbally on the train!, informative in terms of providing us with local recommendations in each village, and a well organized tour overall. Ran a little on the late side, we didn't get back to Florence until around 9:15, but there's not much they can do about traffic.
Freddie and Johnny were great. Very knowledgeable and provided a lot of insight. Appreciated that they spoke individually with each of us on the bus ride back and personally answered our questions.
This was a fabulous tour. You must realize the hike portion is serious and you want to wear good shoes. But the views are breathtaking! Fabiano was the PERFECT tour guide. He knows the tips/tricks to getting around in the crowds - and there definitely were crowds on the trains/stations. He would actually call out the pick pockets, which was not only helpful but quite humorous. We went mid September and the weather was perfect! I loved this tour and would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone.
It was a Wonderful trip, Jullian and Fabeon were so attentive to make sure we were doing ok and did we need anything. It was a great trip.
Our guide Freddie was amazing, you can tell he loves what he does. The hike was tough, but worth it, make sure you wear sneakers or hiking shoes. The views we fabulous and the meal was great.
I would give this six stars if I could. Our tour guide Fabian was outstanding in spite of rainy weather. The hike and scenery were spectacular. This tour was the highlight of our Italy trip.

this was a great day trip and a very efficient way to see Cinque Terre if you do not have much time. We really enjoyed the variety of of transportation train, bus, boat, hiking. The hike was great!! The lunch was not touristy. The tour guide was fantastic!
Fantastic tour. Would highly recommend this tour. Not for the faint hearted with temps in high 30s. Fabian and LeviLavi ? were brilliant. Kept us highly entertained and motivated throughout entire trip. Lunch was beautiful. Well done to Walkabout. 2nd tour with them, both 5 star.
What a beautiful day trip that was. A long bus ride took us to the Cinque Terre and our guide was good at pointing things out as we were going thru different village. We saw a very impressive marble quarry with warehouse after warehouse full of different marble slabs. But the most impressive was to see how beautiful the Carrera Marble is in it's natural form. When we made it to Cinque Terre, we started our hike. This was nice because we were not requested to stay with the group. We could go to our own tempo and make it an energetic hike. The total hike is about 4km 2.6 miles so it's not that bad. There are some areas where we need to climb so we got a good cardio as well. But the views were magnificent, so many beautiful scenery wherever you look. The train ride between villages can be a bit stressful as there are a lot of people but our guide was good at always telling us which station to get off and where we would meet her. Our stop at the local restaurant was a nice stop. The food was good and filling. I would have enjoyed a coffee and some biscotti but it was not offered to us. In a nut shell, this is a real full day trip. We left at 8am sharp and got back to Florence at 9pm.
Amazing!!! The views were incredible! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Florence! The lunch was ok, not my favorite, wished we had a little more time in some of the villages as it felt a bit rushed, but it was nice to have some time both guided and unguided to explore on our own. The hike itself was only somewhat difficult in spots where the steps were kinda slippery, but other than that very do-able. I enjoyed it very much and would love to do another walkabout tour!
Our tour guides Molly and Riassa were so genuine and fun loving! They really took the time to get to know all of us on the tour and by the end we felt like one big family. The hike was challenging but we'll worth it for the spectacular views. It was a highlight of our whole trip to Italy. Well done ladies!
Fantastic! What an experience! It was the highlight of our Italy trip. Johnny and Fabian were great. Johnny's passion for what he does is exceptional. While we waited for trains, he entertained us with teaching us things about the Italian people that we didn't know. Very interesting! This hike is definitely some exercise, and the views are breathtaking! Lanette D.
Fabian was a fantastic tour guide. Fun, energetic and extremely efficient! We love the tour, there was just the right about of hiking, independence and time to explore the villages.
Plan on a pretty serious walk, a great guide, awesome views, and seeing the villages from a local point of view. Absolutely wonderful!
Wonderful trip, well organized and our tour guide Lavinia was very sweet. We really enjoyed the sights and scenery and the chance to have time to explore independently. Our lunch was great and the view outstanding. As we don't smoke it would be nice if the restaurant was non smoking or had a separate smoking section. We did this tour in August, the peak tourist and temperature season so be prepared for crowd and the heat. It is a real hike which is why we signed up for it so be prepared you will have a work out. After the hike the boat trip back to the 1st village was a real treat as you could see the entire coastline that you have just traveled. Tip: If you are planning to swim and are shy, wear your suit as there wasn't anywhere private to change.
A lot of walking , but we were prepared
the 2 young guides looked after us all very well
Lunch was great
Gloria and Lavinia were beyond amazing the best guides I've ever had! My boyfriend and I spent an entire month traveling Europe and this day trip was the highlight of our month. The views were breathtaking, the hike was fun, the swim felt great, gelato was to die for, and we learned a lot! Our guides shared so many interesting facts throughout the entire day. The trip was worth every penny euro! Gloria told us to try the pan frita in one of the towns, and it was delish!
