What a fabulous action packed and eventful day!
Our tour guides were amazing and made the day thoroughly enjoyable! The hike wasn't too hard and we got to enjoy a delicious lunch at the end of the hike which was a great incentive! We got to visit all Five of the Towns and were even able to spend about an hour looking around at each of them. Each town is stunning and unique in it's own way.
If you have limited time in Italy and want to get a taste of what Cinque Terre is about, I thoroughly recommend this tour! Next time we visit Italy we will dedicate more time to Cinque Terre to really experience each of the towns thoroughly.
Excellent! Cinque Terre is amazing. The hike is not impossible, but tougher than most might expect. The tour guides split the hike into two. You can have the option to skip the second part of the hike and take the train into the next town instead.
The tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable. There are usually two tour guides as the group is split into two to make it more manageable. They were from a company called Walkabout Florence. Freddy was great! He's pretty funny. Lavinia is awesome as well. They will even give you "local's" advice so you can enjoy Florence even more without falling for tourist traps that hotel concierge reps recommend.
Very fun. Freddy and Sandra were informative and really made the trip.
Fantastic, beautiful, our family really enjoyed it. Our guides did a great job. The seas were too rough for the boat ride but the trains were memorable.
We had a fabulous day on this tour. Our guides, Freddie and Stephano were so much fun and took the time to talk to each guest personally. The hike was amazing, the lunch was wonderful and the views were breathtaking. We were disappointed that the boat ride was cancelled due to the water being too rough but Freddie and Stephano made the best of the situation.
This was an awesome trip. Martina and Angel were our guides and they were truly amazing. I got sick on the trip and they went out of their way to take care of me. My mother never did a better job!! The scenery on the hikes is just spectacular. Cinque Terre is a truly wonderful setting, a once-in-a-lifetime experience, not to be missed if you are staying in Florence. The views are absolutely incredible and seeing all the farms on the sides of the hills and alongside the tracks we walked on was fantastic as well. I took so many photos my camera battery went flat.
This trip was great. The guide was fun, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate but nevertheless it was a great experience and I would highly recommend it.
The day is something to remember. Chinque terre is a place I would like to visit again! The organization was up to the highest standard. Chris and Luka were very entertaining but as well professional and caring. They provided a lot of information that helped not only to see but as well to feel this lovely place and the Region of Tuscany.
This tour was absolutely fabulous. The guides Julian and Lavinia were informative, friendly and worked hard to assure that everyone enjoyed the day. Our group was diverse in age and nationality and Julian and Lavinia had everyone talking and laughing together before lunch. We saw all the villages and were able to enjoy a bit of time in each. Between lunch, wine tasting and gelato the time flew by. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence. It was a highlight of my trip.
I absolutely loved this hiking tour in Cinque Terre! Our tour guide, Martina, was so knowledgeable, personable, and fun. We weren't able to do the morning hike due to bad weather, but the afternoon hike was beautiful. I highly recommend this trip, don't hesitate to book it. Also, the lunch at Cecio's was amazing!
It was a beautiful tour. The guides were enthusiastic, attentive and informative. They really took good care of us. Am really glad I joined the trip.
Took this tour on August 18th, Sandra and Fredie from the tour operator in Florence were All-Stars during this tour. The whole day was great and difficult. Sandra hiked the trail like she made it and Fredie took one for the team when a guest got behind on the trail. Now lunch in the 2nd town...I am not a fan of raw fish but the pesto pasta was good. Eat quickly but enjoy it so you can use the restroom to put on bathing suit or to go and get gelato for the short hike to the train station. Vernazzo (town 3) was neat and had some good photo opps. Going swimming was a chore with the pebble beach and cold water but everyone seemed fine with just laying on the rocks. Monterosso, didnt get much time here because I waited in line for the fried dough. I'll save you some time, dont get suckered into this 1.5 EUR snack. It's basically just cheese stuffed dough, I was not impressed and it definately was not worth waiting 20min for. Instead do the wine tasting next door for 15 EUR or go for a quick swim. Leaving Monterosso was cool, try to get a seat on the back of the boat facing the back or left side. Riomaggiore was beautiful arriving to it, not much to do there though. Take some steps to the top for a better view of the mountainside. Things to note, we had to wait for the trains in between towns due to crowds causing them to be late. Sandra and Fredie kept the group together and were great leaders when it came time to getting people in tight spaces and ensuring the group got on and everyone got off the train.
